The rest of its content is largely fictional, composed from various fan comments and the whims of our imagination in an attempt to inspire a sense of realism through our reporting. While we do our best to keep things reasonably neutral, this report is in no way intended to be a completely bias-free listing of the day's results, nor does it claim to provide critical analysis of past and potential outcomes from qualified Altador Cup experts. Please note that the opinions formulated in this report are from a full team of different reporters, and in no way represent the views of only a single faction. If you're looking for 100% unbiased performance data, take a look at our standings page. If professional analysis tickles your fancy, you want our predictions pages (global/daily). It's been another twenty-four hours of non-stop tournament play here in Altador, and things haven't quieted down one bit. You're all probably especially eager to get back on the field and get playing, so we'll cut straight to the chase with BlackJaguar from Meridell. "Thank you AA! I’m right above the fields of Meridell flying with my pet Assassin to report about the ongoing war between Darigan Citadel and Krawk Island's Flying Pirate Ships. The battle intensified when the results came out and the Minions won over the Pirates at Yooyuball and MSN while the Pirates got a draw from SS and a win in SoSD. Pirate supporters got angry and launched an all out attack at the Citadel stronghold. *whoa* A cannonball nearly hit us!! Assassin use Shoyru Dive! <img src="https://images.neopets.com/items/bd_faerie_twin_blade.gif" style="float:left;margin:5px;">Wow, that was a close call! Oh wait, Mir has arrived with the report for the other matches. The Faerieland Faeries tasted victory at the expense of the Moltaran Magmas. The Faeries won all games except Make Some Noise where the Magmas roared like an erupting volcano. Queen Fyora is so happy with those results that she's placed a new item on the hidden tower: the Twin Faerie Blades, worth 13 million NP, will definitely give a boost to the Faeries' firepower! The Virtupets Robots gained a close win against the Maraquan Mermaids by slinging more slushies and scoring more goals in the shootout area. The Mermaids fought back with their ultrasonic blasts to win MSN and also gained a draw in Yooyuball. We asked Elon "The Black Hole" Hughlis, team captain of the Mermaids, when their Piranha-mode is going to start and this is what he said: “Just wait for it. We are like a tsunami, we recede at first then we bring total devastation to others!” It was apparent that he had more to add, but he was (once again) pulled away by teammate Dorina Hals before the conversation could get out of hand. The Natives and the Roos also gained a slight win over their opponents by having more control on the Yooyuball field. However, the Chillers and the Wizards retaliated with wins in all the side games. Elsewhere, the Haunted Woods Zombies staged a tight lawn invasion against the Meridell Knights. The teams drew in almost all games, leaving only Make Some Noise (where the Zombies' ghastly moans reverberated victoriously) to break the tie. Shortly before the battle between the Tyrannian Fossils and the Shenkuu Ninjas we asked the new right forward of the Fossils, Elbin Kroe, on how he was adjusting to his new team. “I’m now getting used to our plays. The Ugga signals are difficult to understand at first but they're really effective. Furthermore, I now understand why Tyrannia is good at Slushie Slinger - we need to drink a lot of it due to the hot climate!” And the Tyrannians certainly did, gaining a win over the Ninjas in Slushie Slinger. They also Made More Noise and drew in Shootout Showdown, despite the Ninjas taking the overall match by beating them in Yooyuball. The two currently top-ranking teams both made short work of their opponents - Kiko Lake was seared by the Desert Marauders, while the Kreludor Moons eclipsed the Altador Suns with their performance. That doesn't mean the underdogs didn't fight back however: the Kikos scored their way to victory in Shootout Showdown, while the Suns managed a draw after a day of mad Slushie Slinging. *WOAH!* Those cannons are shooting at me now! I'll call in some of our tactical teams to assist you. *cough* Did I say tactical? I meant medical, of course. Anyway, heading into the 2nd of June, we'll be seeing the Tyrannian Fossils, definitely among the most tenacious of all side gamer teams, going head to head with the Brightvale Wizards, who also have an excellent side game record this season (most notably an unbroken Slushie Slinger streak). These two teams, along with Kreludor, are the only undefeated Slushie Slingers this year, but by the end of today that group should be one member down. Or, perhaps, we'll see a draw, which some observers will undoubtedly find hilarious. Team Mystery Island will be playing against their old enemies from last year, the Maraquan Mermaids. In AC IV, the Maraquans concluded their spectacular finals run with a victory over Mystery Island, claiming the top spot in tier two in the process. This year, the Natives will be looking to hit back, and if the Mermaids still aren't quite in form yet, they just might have their chance. That's all for today's news. HW was losing to the middle class teams, but now we are competing with teams like Virtupets and Meridell. But today, I don't know about Lost Desret. They forgot that we can fly too, and enormous, upside-down, floating mountains are great battering rams. Another loss at the hands of the pirates it seemd. ;) I refuse top play YYB today! No more mutants! D: We have to sweep TM, it's like a tradition... =/ And i'm gonna be really interested when those MI vs MQ reslts come out... I am a fan, but not like those people who play 2000 games a day, but 5 or 6 is normally my speed. I just enjoy watching the cup. My old account got frozen, and i played the cup all the time on that account. Now that jacklester20 got cancelled, i don't play too much any more.
