Holliepop Posted January 22, 2010 Share Posted January 22, 2010 Every time I try to submit my picture w/ my story to the petpet spotlight on neopets I get this message. Error: File must be a JPG or GIF type image. (ie. have the '.jpg' or '.gif' extension at the end of the file name in LOWERCASE letters). You submitted filetype: JPG. So, how do I go about converting my file from .JPG to .jpg? My computer reads it to me in lowercase, but when I go to upload it, it comes up in uppercase. I'm so confused! Viridian Posted January 22, 2010 Share Posted January 22, 2010 It's very simple :) This is for windows XP If you go to a folder, click in the menu bar on the second button from the right... In my windows it's called 'extra'. Then choose folder options. in the second tab, you can tick some boxes. Look for something like 'hide extensions of unknown files' and untick that box. Then if you save it and go back to your folder you should be able to see this: 'Filename.JPG' Then you can just rename the file to 'Filename.jpg' Hope that works for you! If it's confusing...
