So, I just read TDN's article on the game, Chia Bomber 2. It said in order to get the avatar, one must get 1300 points from the game. But, according to the guide:

 

Each level has a set amount of points you can get, there are no bonuses in Chia Bomber 2. Here are the set amounts:

 

Level 1 - all green chias (80 pts)

Level 2 - seven green, one blue (80 pts)

Level 3 - six green, two blue (80 pts)

Level 4 - five green, two blue, one yellow (80 pts)

Level 5 - four green, two blue, two yellow (80 pts)

Level 6 - three green, two blue, two yellow, one red (80 pts)

Level 7 - two green, two blue, two yellow, two red (80 pts)

Level 8 - one green, two blue, two yellow, two red, one black (80 pts)

Level 9 - two blue, two yellow, two red, two black (80 pts)

Level 10 - two blue, two yellow, two red, two black (80 pts)

Level 11 - three yellow, three red, three black (90 pts)

Level 12 - five red, five black (100 pts)

 

 

I thought I had decent math skills. But, how in the heck am I supposed to get 1300 points, if the maximum points one can get, according to the guide, is 990? Please help!

According to ~Unbeatable13:

 

For every chia you kill by firing at him you get 3 bonus points,

and for every chia you kill with your mines you get 2 bonus points.

You also get 100 bonus points for every life left you have

(ONLY when ending the game at level 12 and when completing the game).

 

I believe that the point table you posted does not take this into account.

Azarel is right. Bonus points are the key to getting the avatar, and they aren't factored into the chart. I got a score of 1,459 after level 12 to get the avatar. So, on top of the 990 points you get for eliminating enemies, you still get 198-297 bonus points, plus 100 points for each life you have leftover at the end of level 12.
