Flash games freezing

When I play flash games on my laptop they freeze or run really slow at times. For instance, I can be playing icecream machine and all is fine for 3 or 4 levels, and then all of a sudden the game will stop because I've apparently been hit by icecream but i must have been frozen because I don't see anything at all! The same happens with games like courier crisis. It can help with SOME games (for instance, i think it helped me get the avatar in freaky factory!) but it can be a real pain.

I use firefox, with addbolcker plus, and NoScript. I've also got the same browser and adblocker on my other PC (but it doesn't have noscript), but it works fine.

I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling flash.

Does anyone have any ideas how I can stop flash from freezing? My laptop is less than a year old and runs Vista.

I had the same sort of problem playing Neogames. Unfortunately, they best solution I was able to find was to switch browsers to Opera when playing Neopets. Opera is generally pretty good at running Flash, but it has some memory leaks, so you need to close and reopen it every hour or so. It saves all of your tabs automatically, at least.

 

I wish I had a better solution. I really prefer Firefox, and I use it for everything else but Neo. I just found that it wasn't working all that smoothly for games. If anyone has a list of Firefox config changes that can be made to make Neopets run better, please post!

I guess that could work. I sometimes use chrome when firefox is generally buggy. But does the neo toolbar work on Opera?
