That's not the right attitude for BC imo. You need to advertise a bunch on the neoboards, not just here. And perhaps competition was tougher? Losing isn't the end of your BC experience (although it can be frustrating), so just try again and who knows, you might just win the next time. :)

I lost my first BC when I entered my faerie pteri, Ivana, and then the next time I entered her and her sister Faith the Cybunny.

Ivana won second place and Faith didn't win anything even though she was 5 votes away from being 3rd!

Most people don't look at art on the BC so it's mainly advertising on the boards, don't give up :)

Don't worry, your picture was good. It takes a lot of work to win, and a lot of advertising. I entered (only once) and I never advertised, so that was probably my losing reason. And it wasn't that good. :D

Well, first, most people don't vote if you just drew what it's picture looks like on your UL.

And although some people say they voted, they may have just said that to be polite.

You should advertise on the boards, here, Jellyneo, and as many places as you can think of.

And also, no one wins on their first try, you have to keep entering until you finally grab that gold trophy.

Don't be sad about it! Your drawing is good. Just keep trying, and advertise every chance you get! Remember, the BC is as much a popularity contest as an art contest. The best entries don't always win.
