I was excited to see the secret to the Chef Bonju Avatar came out today. I just got mine! (see here for the guide: http://avatars.thedailyneopets.com/index.p...view_avatar/388 )

 

But I was wondering if now is a good time to stock up on orange juice etc? Or will the extra demand make more people purge it from their SDB's? (Thinking back to high school economics..)

I think that once September comes everything will deflate. Obviously not back to their original prices, as they are now avatar items, but the prices shouldn't stay this insane for long. None of them are particularly rare, and with everyone selling all at once a ton of them are circulating; I highly doubt that every item sold gets eaten up in someone's attempt to get the avatar for themselves.

You have to have the 'mad about oranges'avatar as your active and mix Blumaroo Steak,Orange Juice and Gourmet Cooking for Your Pet at the Mystery Island cooking pot.

Gourmet Cooking for Your Pet is a book that currently goes for about 1 mil...but the prices will go down a lot.Just wait.

And apparently TNT said in an editorial that the avatar is not seasonal so they should fix this or admit they lied.

The prices are going to deflate. They were all pretty cheap items to begin with.

the book was 1000np this morning. Wow I wish I had of known and stocked up. maybe then id be able to afford mspp. darn!

All the items seem to be going up, I bought orange juice for 14K, sold it 20 minutes later for 20K! I'm heading to Dice-A-Roo where I'm sure I can remember getting Orange Juice for a green food prize? Can anyone confirm that?

 

EDIT: Looks like I sold the orange juice way too early, its up at 60K!

I bought an Orange Juice earlier for like 15k.

I'm gonna wait for it to inflate even more ;D

wow.. so orange juice got as high as 70k as the lowest super shop wiz prize tonight. now it's down to 40 k tonight. there is some quick money to be made if you buy and sell at the right time!

I can't believe this. I left for work and everything was normal, and then BOOM, Bonju is found and orange juice is 35K a cup! I mean holy cow. I wish I had an extra copy of the book! I mean 1 mil for a book. Just wow. I'm waiting to get it.

I dont recommend it, I totally bought high and ended up selling low lol. So much for my economics class. .. woopsies.

yeah they're inflated ridiculously now... but i find it highly unlikely that they will remain this inflated especially if the avatar is only available throughout august. i would advise all users not to satisfy greedy users who are asking for ridiculous amounts of neopoints... i mean really.. who would pay close to 2mill for a book?

I don't think those users are being greedy. If people are willing to pay 2 mil for a book of course you're going to sell it for 2 mil.

Ok I absoultely think its rediculous how far the price has shot up. But if I had 100 copies, HECK yes I would sell them for as much as i could (prob would have sold around the 1.2-1.5 mill range! lol)
