What REALLY bugs me is if supposingly a cger got my info, how can they take over 1 million w/o the use of the shop, trading post, or auctions? JuliaS Posted August 21, 2009 Share Posted August 21, 2009 Sorry about your account. :sad01_anim: To the best of my knowledge, you can use a side account until they give you back your main...you can only use 1 account to make nps or play games on. Since you cannot access your main, you can choose a side account to use as your main temporarily and then close the shop and stop using it when you get your account back. Didn't see much so I started to feed my eggs and fed other user's eggs on the eggcave that commented on my wall that they did. This took about 2 hours. I got on neopets and collected my interest first and everything seemed normal. Nothing new. Did my dailies like the free omelette, tombola, etc. After the dailies, I spun the Wheel of Slime and started to play the Adver Video game when my father asked to get on ebay really quick. Since he's not good with computers, I was there the whole time while we searched for necklaces. This lasted for about 20 minutes. I continued to play Adver Video and then the Petpet find game (idk what it's called) and then played the Petpet Match Up game. After trying to send the score once on Petpet Match Up, I noticed I was logged out. This usually happened when I was on IE and I was on firefox so it wasn't really new to me. Usually happened when I played Neoquest 2. I logged back on and played Kass Basher, which was easy to get 3,000 on and I had a total of 12,500 nps for today. I went to deposit 11,300 since I deposit at least 10k every time I earn that much. I'm scared of the Tax Beast and those RE. Right away when I was to deposit. BAM. I noticed there was only about 800,000 in the bank. Earlier it was 9.8 million. Right away I panicked and refreshed to make sure it was real. Nothing changed. I went to check my inventory, thinking maybe someone put it for auctions and I got something. Nothing. After that, I changed my password right away and then started to search the Sales History, Auctions again, Trading Post, and the bank again. Everything was how it was. I started to really get worried and knew the neopet boards aren't really to be trusted so I came on here for a link to report to TNT. I thought it could be a glitch or something since I always thought that to spend even 1 million of neopoints, you would use the TP (so that should be done LOTS of times), auctions (i should've gotten one new item on my inventory), or used my shop, (latest was a Mystery Island Chocolate Milk or something for about 1,900 nps). So I didn't understand how it could happened just like that. I got information from you guys (thank you) and I sent in an abuse report and started to record all my information needed to reclaim my account. I checked the SDB to see maybe the cg'er jerk put some new items in there. Everything was still the same. Everything recording as much as I could, I logged out and logged back in to try my new passy out. It was working. I logged out again and had to go to night class, so I txted my fiance to search for my name from time to time and see if it was frozen or not. He agreed to check. 3 hours later, I get out of class and I received a txt message from him, saying he was looking on my side account, that had the link to my main and saw that this account was "disabled" I came home and tried to login and saw that it was frozen. I came back to you all and asked questions like "when can I reclaim my main" and if "tnt will fix my problem" I later filled out the form to reclaim it. Answered almost all that was needed. And now I'm still trying to figure out, HOW can 9 million exactly be gone w/o the auctions and such? Why wasn't ALL my neopoints taken since I was about 200k away from 10 million? I feel so bad for you! :crying: Maybe someone figured out your password and ruined your account... that's what happened to one of my old neopets accounts. I'm sure if it was auctioned that they would have a record(prolly) but even then he could have transfered the money immediately and then bought stuff from other shops and cleared sales history or traded it by the 800k from that side account. If he had your info to get on the account id assume that he would log on before to find out how much you have and not take the money right away. That way if he knew he was going to steal 9 mill he could have made an auction on his other account for 9 mill and then log onto yours like an hour and 55 min later and go bid fast and depending if you were at the computer for the couple minutes you wouldn't know. You can absolutely do your dailies and play games on your side account while waiting to get your main back. The rules state that you are only allowed to earn neopoints on one account at a time. As long as you don't earn neopoints on both your accounts on the day you get your main back, then everything's fine. You have a lot of rebuilding to do, so earn all the neopoints you can while waiting. I'd recommend that you not open a bank account, a shop, or buy stocks on your side though, since there will be the temptation to continue earning from these places later. If you are an avatar collector, go for some of the avatars that you otherwise couldn't get on your side. And, when you get your account back, you can transfer the neopoints you earned on your side over to your main via the Trading Post. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Guess it's time to re-earn some neopoints and go back to square one until my main is back...I'm still hoping it's just a glitch that tnt can fix you know...but I'll earn anyways thank you ^^ I was already sent an email about telling them more information on how this could've happened and they'll investigate it. Plus I will open a bank, incase the Tax Beast or something tries to take even more neopoints than necessary...I won't go overboard I promise! I know how you feel about wanting your pets back. When I got CGed earlier this summer, before the CGer thing got out of hand, I was constantly worrying about my pets. I would try to log on to my frozen account several times each day, just to see my active pet. It's good that you're earning some neopoints. You earn faster than I do. What ~Mike~ suggested was indeed a possibility but it all depends on the intention of the CGer. If it was just to ruin an account, the money could have easily been donated and such. It can be possible that several people worked together to steal the neopoints as well (Ie. Someone create auctions on another account and the CGer just bids while the other person accepts immediately; the whole process will take a minute or less). There's no guarentee as to what happened but I doubt neopets will have a glitch which takes away that much nps o_O. Because I KNOW that I know my own account more than anyone, so I should get it back! I earn those neopoints mainly through playing games since I'm really bad at restocking (unless I can get a Draik Egg...man xD I would sell that quick!) It was released when this happened to me and I want the prizes...but I'm not sure when I'm getting my account back exactly (so much for beating AAA on release day) and I don't want the prizes to go away. But I also don't wanna make it seem like I'm cheating if I win the prizes and then I get my account back and I play it and them again.
