I love animal I have become.

I have an issue with picking 5 songs. I obsess over specific songs for a while (listening to them over and over and over) and then I cant listen to them for a very very long time (years often).

If I had to it would prob end up being instrumental songs. :)

I used to love "Sunshine Superman" by Donovan. Now it's kinda iffy for me. On the instrumental subject, I have "Flight of The Bumblebee" performed by Harry James and his Orchestra(it's a big band). The main part is performed by a trumpet. And I have "The Entertainer" by Scott Joplin on my MP3 player. I also have some DDR songs on it, but that's neither here nor there.

Only five?

Hmm. In no particular order:

Mother & Working Class Hero by John Lennon. Harsher and angrier and more sad than anything. I'm going to stick them together 'cause that's how I listen to them.

Won't Get Fooled Again-The Who. I don't really have an explanation for this one.

Icky Thump-The White Stripes. So fun.

Sympathy For The Devil-The Rolling Stones. What can I say? Epic.

A Day In The Life-The Beatles. So strangely haunting. Possibly The Beatles best song.

Darnnit. That was hard.

Oh man...this is goning to be hard...

"Poker Face" by Lady Gaga

Why: Because I am addicted to the beat of that song

"Boom Boom Pow" by The Black Eyed Peas

Why: Same as the first

"Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen

Why: Because every good collection needs a good rock song.

A song from RENT, either "Seasons of Love" or "La Vie Boheme"

Why: Because musicals are a way of life. Songs from a show are much different than anything you'll ever hear on the radio. They have an even bigger meaning and are part of a story. They can affect you differently than an ordinary song and they tell you what's happening in a scene. You can even learn something from them.

"Defying Gravity" from Wicked

Why: Same as the one above. Also a musical song.

the who and the white stripes! :P niiiice! good pick.

but do you guys really think you could listen to the same 5 songs forever. Wouldnt you get bored?...

I could with some, if not most of mine. When I absolutely love a song the way I do with Leave the Light On for example, then that never goes away. I feel a connection to it because it reminds me so much of Chicago, my favorite city.
