Not everyone knows about the ALP, and certainly not everyone knows how to donate. Plus there are lots of people who come to TDN for content and to read the guides and news, but aren't members of the forum so they don't know, and it may prompt them to donate and join to take advantage of the ALP. :) Plus it never hurts to advertise!
