Hm. I never see ads anyway because I have FF+AdBlock, so I can't see the difference. Is it your birthday by any chance? I'm pretty sure ads don't appear when you have the birthday sidebar. But if it's not your birthday and you don't have an adblocker, then...maybe? :P Can't think of any other reasons offhand that ads would not be appearing.

There are much simpler, cleaner, more effective and more frequently maintained guides than that one, right here on TDN. ;)

And yeah, Adblock is highly recommended. Surfing on Neo using FF (where I installed the Adblock) is a lot faster than surfing using IE (no Adblock).

There is a way to block Neopets ads in IE - just follow our guide. :)

 

Of course, Firefox pwns IE in every conceivable field, so that's not so relevant. :P
