Monica
I get finals go 1 vs. 4 and 2 vs. 3, but that's day 1, what happens next? How are day 2, 3, and 4? Thanks.
antiaircraft
This explains it pretty clearly: At the conclusion of the double round robin phase, all 16 teams will move on to take part in the four-day finals phase, which will consist of a playoff match-up and a final match-up. Each finals phase match-up lasts two days. Within each four-team rank grouping (1-4, 5-8, 9-12, 13-16), the highest and lowest ranked teams will play against each other, while the second and third ranked teams will also pair off. The winners of each match-up will then face off for first place of that group, while the losers will compete for third place of that group. Basically, within each group we'll have top team vs. bottom team and upper middle team vs. lower middle team. This match will last two days. The winners from that match will compete for the first place in their group, and the losers will compete for third place in their group. This is another two day match. :)
