On this sunny weekend before the start of the Cup, we've traveled all the way to Brightvale, in order to try and obtain more declarations from King Hagan himself, pertaining to the reason why Brightvale decided to abstain from this year's Cup. Joining me is our notorious on-field reporter, BlackJaguar, which will be giving us an insight on what he managed to gather so far: "Thanks HBK, There is a great gloom covering Brightvale after the recent announcement of King Hagan about the reason why the Wizards are not participating this year. A lot of the Brightvale supporters that we interviewed are still depressed because they said they put a lot of effort into making the banners that now hang lifelessly outside some homes. Others say that they are not neglecting their jobs of making potions and tunics, so there is no reason why His Majesty should prevent them from joining the Altador Cup. We tried to get his Majesty’s comment about these protests, but the guards said that no one is allowed to see the King until further notice. The King of Meridell, King Skarl, is also not giving a comment about this announcement, but the folks from Meridell are scornful, saying that Brightvale is just making an excuse because the Knights did better than Wizards during the last Altador Cup (fifth place compared to Brightvale’s last place embarrassment). The two lands have never been separated, in and out of the Altador Cup, so it's going to be interesting so see whether Kiko Lake will give the Knights an easy sweep as Brightvale has handed them before.
