Aja Aeris Posted May 25, 2009 Share Posted May 25, 2009 As much of a die-hard Haunted Woods fan as I am, I'd have to cast my vote for either Krawk Island or Lost Desert for the cup. I have to say this, though; I think it's very unlikely that once a team wins the cup, that they'll win it again (bad luck for my team :( ). It seems like the tournament structure is more than a little rigged...whooooo, conspiracy theory! Please don't hate me, it's just a feeling I got the past few years, not that I'm being a sore loser. I was just so surprised at the way things turned out that I had to wonder if some of the winners were decided beforehand...but I'm also more than willing to accept that there's more that goes on in this tournament that I know about, so don't mind me and my craziness o_O . Also though, considering that Neopets is, in fact, a kids site, I could very easily picture TNT trying to let every team (or at least quite a few teams*) win once before doing repeats. *Within reason, of course. Somehow, I don't see Faerieland or Terror Mountain taking the cup anytime soon, for example, which is a shame because I know a few very hardworking players on those teams and I would really love to see their effort rewarded someday. If Jonboy14080405 is correct in his pattern, which sounds about right to me, then hopefully the cycle will eventually play itself out and those teams will gain a little notoriety. It claimed that when a team wins, it encourages a lot of new players to join that team the next year. A lot of those players are just freeloaders who don't play any games, or who send very low (or even losing!) scores. This leads to a lower average score-per-player, which means the team is unlikely to win. Following this logic, Roo Island won't do as well this year. Maraqua 8. Roo Island 9. Meridell 10. Shenkuu 11. Tyrannia 12. Kiko Lake 13. Faerieland 14. Virtupets 15. Terror Mountain 16. Altador Some of these are very bold, including the fall of Shenkuu.
