webpixie
could have gotten a much better deal if you got someone to build you a syestm...allways cheaper to build your own..
Eric
Probably. Apparently it's not a good time to buy a desktop?
webpixie
its never a good time to buy any computer, things go obsoleet realitivly fast.. but anything that you have any issues with can always be updated later, not that its not great as is right now.. Eric
Apparently it's not a great time to buy one now because everyone's picking up new parts to make their computers Vista-friendly. So the price is jacked up.

So the price is jacked up. Yeah, and 1,185 euros (in my currency), equivalent to 2000 AUS, is quite a bit. Although you do have a high-end computer, yes. Mine is near high-end. I got more RAM today for my laptop. Got 768 MB now. Installed Vista Home Premium, fiddled around about 45 mins. trying to configure wireless internet (the XP driver wasn't compatible with Vista. -_-). I then went to Conceptronic's website (my brand of PCMCIA card) and downloaded the driver, which they fortunately had. Then spent 30 mins. to get it recognized by the router, and finally, it works. :king:
