Training for Defenders of Neopia

Recommended Posts

So, I'm thinking about training my main pet, so that he'll be able to complete more missions in Defenders of Neopia. Right now, I have trophy number 5. My question is - what's the optimal training strategy? Going for hitpoints, training all the stats, or something else? (Yes, I know movement and intelligence don't matter in the Battledome.)

My stats as they are right now:

Hit Points: 66 / 66

Strength: AWESOME (65)

Defence: EXCELLENT (53)

Movement: GREAT (33)

Intelligence: ULTIMATE GENIUS (227)

Basically, just train Endurance, Strength, and Defense, and buy really strong weapons (minimum 9-icons) and a healing item, and you should do fine.

Hi. I'm a BD newbie too and would like to fight more challengers. What weapons and healing items do you suggest? (Not very very expensive please) Thanks! :D

Sorry it took a while to respond.

Depends on what you consider expensive. My BD set that I have equipped are Ice Club (9-icons), Stone Club (9-icons), Psellias Fighting Fan (9-icons), Scarab Ring (just cause people recommend it), Downsize! (Good defense), Greater Healing Scroll (Heals up to 50 HP). Each of the items here cost under 80k, and if I had to guess, I'd so these items would total roughly 200k.

You might not want a Greater Healing scroll if your pet has a low maximum HP though.

And you can also get the Jittery Jipple Potion and the Steaming Skeem Potion, which are both very good (in my opinion).

With those stats and ALOT of patience, you can actually complete the whole DoN! As for optimal way of training, would be training your level to max without going to next training level, then train all the other stats to max you can with that level (HP 3 times your level and other stat's 2 times your level). This is the most cost effective, and actually the fastesr way of training, as in each training level, the number of codestones (and at the same time, the price) rises, and each level takes longer to complete.
