imnotgeorge
I restocked a book last night called Basic Defence. It's only rarity 81, didn't even get 2500 pricing in the main bookshop, but the lowest I found on TP was for 110k O.o anyone know anything about this? I'm debating whether to sell it quickly before the prices go down, but before I do I want to know if there's anything special about this book that makes it so valuable. Unstream
Yeah you just got lucky. Congrats :D. Sell it in the TP for however much you think it's worth. Be sure to check the SW and the TP though, so you can get a good idea about how much it's really worth.
amitybelle
Are you sure that's what it's called? I looked it up on the SW and search results were '...' which only comes up when what you're looking for doesn't actually exist. Otherwise it will say what the item is even if none are found. Sorry if you knew that ^_^. Nothing found at TP either. Some books are very expensive, way more than 110K. So I don't think it's especially unusual. You always take a chance selling things, sometimes they value in price, other times they decrease. It's up to you really!
imnotgeorge
sorry, my memory was faulty. the book is called basic design.
amitybelle
Well it looks like you struck lucky! One in SW for 95K, TP for 110K like you said. I don't know much about restocking books but I tend to sell things if they sell for lots. Too often I've bought things which eventually decrease in value. So, I sell! ChaoticFission
good call on the depreciation. I'll see if i can make a quick sale in my shop. speaking of depreciation, are there any things that appreciate in value? (perhaps this should be its own topic)
Strategos
Just a word to the wise. If you find yourself unable to sell, go onto the Trading Post neoboards and find a couple of resellers. They may offer something around 60k-75k for your book, which might be the best you'll be able to find. speaking of depreciation, are there any things that appreciate in value? (perhaps this should be its own topic) Some retired items, such as the retired Faerie Paint Brush which has inflated 1 mil over the last 2 1/2 years. imnotgeorge
retired items, especially consumables like books and foods and stamps, always appreciate in value (some slower than others, depending on demand, functionality, and existing supply). one-off prizes will always appreciate in value as well. with most other things it's a matter of guesswork and experience, i find.
