Siba
Well is it against the neopets rules to create a pet just to get an avatar then just abandoning it some hours later (or whenever it is possible to abandon a newly created pet)? ChaoticFission
it's not nice, but i don't think that there is anything in the rules against it. you could put it up for adoption for those who want to take care of the pet instead of sending it off to the pound. Strategos
You could also try to adopt one from the pound, then sending it to a side account. That makes everyone involved a happy, happy person. :D
Levana
Or you can even look on the Pet Lending section of the forums, and see if the pet you're looking for is available. That way you can borrow an already existing pet for the avatar you want, instead of creating a new one just to abandon it.
The Darkest Faerie
Creating, then abandoning an hour later once you have the avatar? If you do that, we'll consider you cruel! Not really. But other people might. Like Levana said, you can borrow it off the ALP, as long as you give it back after you have the avatar. :)
Unstream
I think you can't even abandon it after an hour or so of creating it. Neopets doesn't let you abandon pets under 7 days old.
malindamya
i will raise my hand and admit i bought a pet from the pound, fed it what i needed to to get my avatar and booted him back to the pound a min later....i sort of kind of only felt bad for a minute or so. ;)
Siba
hahaha XD you guys made me laugh :P Well, Strategos, I don't have a side account. (yet :P ) And well the pets I was talking about probably aren't being lended from ALP cause they are totally 'normal' pets. Like the pet I created a couple days ago was a Lenny, just to feed it a spooky food to get the 'Wicked Lenny' avatar. The 2nd pet i want to create is a shoyru, to fight with it in the battledom to get another avatar (forgot what it was called).. But yea, I guess I'll miss my lenny a bit..I called her Layn_Kim (Rory's best friend in Gilmore Girls XD) Aww now look what she told me :( Layn_Kim says: Why don't you just paint me grey if you're gonna leave me like this? Awww...:(
malindamya
This may be my retardation kicking in, but how exactly do you create a pet after you already have one? I have only ever picked them up from the pound.
antiaircraft
From the top menu, go to My Account > Create a Neopet Or if you're feeling lazy, click this link! :P
mxpxrocks222
I usually just try to find the normal pets from the pound so i take care of them for a while and send them back. I have a skieth right now that i picked up for the avatar and am trying to raise its stats a bit before i send it back. so then not only do i hep myself with the avatar, i help the pet by taking care of him, and hopefully since his stats are better he is more likely to get adopted again.
