Coloring things in with photoshop is the easiest thing you can do there! There are many "tutors" on the web, I don't know much, since it's not my style to use them. If you want to just draw, though, a fun thing to do is add a few lines of different colors, fill the rest with a different color, then go wild with the filters. You always end up with something cool eventually. ^_^

That doesn't really answer your question, though... try looking up what you want to do specifically, or search for a beginner's guide, there's bound to be a tutorial that pops up.

-sniffles- Tutorials seem so tough for me. I've been trying to draw, with pencil, but I'm no good at anything but animals.

Being only good at animals is nothing to be ashamed about. I know plenty of artists whom specialize, and become masters at their own art forms. It depends i guess, for me im trying to broaden my specs since my aim is going into the industry, but im sure you will be just fine being yourself, and simply doing what you want.

My advice is to acquire a strong basic traditional set of skills before even venturing into digital. Digital is rather sticky, once you go too in depth into it, traditional forms of art loses all forms of appeal (according to my many art friends, i personally believe it to be so too). Not to mention traditional art from helps build the practices of pictorial composition, perspective, anatomy, and color composition. It is in depth, very focused, for you have no computer tools or anything other than your own mental and technical capacities. Once you've got that down, and when you feel you have developed a natural flair, then, digital will be easy.

Again you may complain about the time you would waste till you'll be able to master digital. Then again, you're not in a hurry anywhere arent you ;) Just take your time, and you'll get your own style, and your own abilities down sooner or later. Dont be discouraged.

If you need to ask me anything feel free to message me at my deviantart account or email (can be found at my profile page)

Well, I've been using photoshop to draw for a few years now..

Though I only know like 10% of it's functions.. ^-^;

To draw, the most basic tools you need are

-> Brush/Pencil (Left tool bar)

-> Eraser (Left tool bar)

-> Colour Picker (quite obvious..)

-> Layers (Found at the bottom right)

and drawing animals is fine!

I can't draw animals!! >_>

Tutorials are like.. the way to go, if you're looking for a "tutor"

But seriously, you've probably heard this many times.. the true teacher is: Practice.

You could also try studying other pictures and re-creating them, or tracing directly on top of them. Of course, this is plagiarism so don't upload it, it's only for practice's sake and should remain in your photoshop as an unsaved file.

Another way is to post up pictures you've drawn before and ask for critiques or advice =]
