I have tried for two days now HELP I can't get the thing to equip!

I hope so, finally found out from a friend it could take up to 3 days!?! OMG I'm way too impatient for this lol

Actually, 3 days can be relatively short compared to how long it takes some people. It may take you weeks. Good luck.
