It'd just be really nice to burn my dvds to my computer so I can put them onto my ipod. I have Windows XP, so I'll need something compatible with that. antiaircraft Posted November 11, 2008 Share Posted November 11, 2008 Hmm... it sounds like you're looking for a DVD ripper, not a burner (burner = making CDs/DVDs, ripper = converting CDs/DVDs into files on your computer). :P Anyway, a friend once recommended DVDx to me, but I've never tried it myself so I'm not sure how well it works. Well I just tried the one AA recommended and it took a really long time and the end result was a video that worked well with Window Media Player, but it didn't work well on iTunes. And it's really confusing, I'm not sure if I did it right (or what I did for that matter. I just kinda click around...) Does anyone else do this? Like rip movies from dvds and then put them on their iPods? Or does anyone use a dvd burner that they know works for what I want to do?
