Piratical-themed Homework.

These were done for my coursework for Graphics A-Level- they're not as good as they could be- but they're good for my first attempt at incorporating Chibis into my artwork.

 

 

 

Also, I did another one with just heads- Jack Sparrow meets Jack Russel.

 

 

 

Please give me some Creative Critisicm?

Well I'm afraid I don't know what Chibis are, but the first one is a lot of fun.

I love the excitment and all the story you get from this one moment. Obviously something

big that happened right before, and the impending riot that appears is just beginning to occur.

 

I know your trying to give it a group feel, with some non focused people in the background,

but I'd add a little color to the six characters you left white and blank. Not detail, because

that would ruin the out of focus effect you were going for but maybe just some hair color or some out lining?

It's a really exciting picture with a lot of "movement" and the plain white images don't seem to fit.

 

There is also something, I can't quite put my finger on what, about the Grandma that seems out of place. Maybe the eyes?

I'm not trying to be critical I'm just trying to give you some constructive comments since you asked for them.

 

The second image is genius, and I have nothing I could contribute critically.

Well, to answer your question about making the 2nd pic more interesting.... I have a thought, but it may require some thought or possibly you redrawing it BUT.... you could have the dog like drinking the last bottle of rum (you must label it, really XP) and then have Jack saying, "Why... why is the rum ALWAYS GONE!"

But I love the first one with the gramma and shiz. Pure win right thar.
