Unstream Posted December 9, 2008 Author Share Posted December 9, 2008 In about 4 billion years when then the suns core will collapse under its own gravity, making its atmosphere unstable causing it to expand. This will transform the sun into a huge red giant star which will pull in the other planets in our solar system and destroy them. But I'll be dead long before then so no worries :D I don't think the sun would pull other planets in. It's not gaining any mass, so it shouldn't have any more gravitational pull. I think it'd just burn the earth to a crisp and then shrink into a white dwarf. It's interesting. A byproduct of the atom bomb is the computer. I don't think the end of the WORLD could be caused by humans - the end of humanity possibly, but the end of the whole world itself, no. That's up to a supreme being (in my case, God, but that's just my religion) or planets and physics. Either way, we won't be around for the end of the world. I can't remember where I saw that, buy this 2 galaxies are too close and their gravitation might atract the other one, since there's a black hole in the middle of galaxies which pulls close all the stars and planets. hahahaha I hope I got that right, I'm no expert, I just watched that tv show the nearest galaxy is Andromeda and its 2.3 million light years from us so its going to take a long time. The theories are.. The big crunch or the theory that space is exapding at huge speed causing the space to tear and desintegrate in small particles. myself i believe that we will kill ourselves and won't have the opportunuty to see what happens to earth so I don't care.
