Ardeo
Hello again ^_^ I've made a new sig, would you guys care to give me some suggestions/comments? They were pretty helpful with my last one. ^Here it is! Be honest when you comment of course. I've also made a few avatars, and wouldn't mind suggestions or comments on them. My current avvie is an example, along with this one: Thanks! edit: 2nd avatar version - transparent background!
antiaircraft
The signature's pretty good, although it seems a bit blurred on the right - that might just be my glasses though. *goes to clean* XD Your avatars look excellent! :D All I'd recommend doing is replacing the white background with transparency.

And, the transparency thing... is there a way to do that quickly in gimp?
antiaircraft
It's pretty simple actually. If the whole image is in one layer, just right click the layer and hit 'add alpha channel' (if this is grayed out then the layer probably already has an alpha channel). Then use fuzzy select to select and delete the white sections. If you have the image split into several layers, with one layer as the background, just delete the background layer. You'll have to save the image in PNG format however, as its the only standard web image format that supports transparency.
Ardeo
Awesome! Thanks so much! ^_^ Here's the result, by the way:
antiaircraft
*applause* Now that's a sight to behold! :P So you're a fellow GIMP user huh? *high fives* You don't get many of those around here - most TDN graphics people use Photoshop.
Ardeo
Thank you, thank you! *bows* :P And yes, I use GIMP. Just as good as photoshop if you know how to use it!
rachiee
I like it! =D Especially the gold Turmac Roll trophy that's in the background. And the Turmac-print text :3 The background kinda matches the whole theme of the sig :) So I rate this a 9.6/10. Nice job! (Ooh, and you're a GIMP user as well? Me too. ^_^ My graphics are nothing without GIMP. =p)
~*MidnightMoonFiretail*~
I've heard that you can animate in GIMP. But I still haven't figured out how. Any suggestions? (message me) btw, I do think the sig is a little blurred, and I can't see the detail very well. About your avatar, do you like dolphins? They are my favourite animals! (and cats, of course) I do agree that your avatar needs a good background, but otherwise, I love it!
Ardeo
The gold trophy had to be blurred in so it wouldn't look pixilated - is that what you mean? How could I fix it, any ideas? ( firetail - I'll pm you about animation, btw. ) Thanks for the feedback! And I put the transparent avvie version thing in the first post. ^_^
antiaircraft
Well I can't guarantee it'll work (I haven't had much success clearing up low resolution images), but you could try the sharpening filter in GIMP to try and de-pixelize the trophy image. Just go to Filters > Enhance > Sharpen. If you want access to more options, you could try Filters > Enhance > Unsharp Mask.
