Fire Fox help

I have just installed firefox 2 with ad blocker and when i visit the neopets website i can no longer see the shops. I was hoping the add blocker would block the ads only, is it meant to and have i done something wrong?

Hmm... that's extremely unusual. I have Adblock Plus (and had it with Firefox 2) and it didn't adversely affect the shops.

May I ask whether you followed some instructions somewhere to install your ad blocker? If so, could you point me towards them?

Thanks for replying Sky Shadow, I followed the instructions on the TDN restocker guide link, but for some reason i needed to add/allow adobe. There was a message on the menu bar (which i missed) where the links to you SDB, Auctions etc are saying to view i needed to allow adobe. I already had it on the computer? I works now though so thanks for you help

The flash shop map image right? You have blocked something in the filters that also blocked that image.

You can add an exception rule: @@|https://images.neopets.com/maps/map_shell_v7.swf

Or you can try find out what's block the shops since it's possible that it has also blocked other things as well.

Well I assume it was just a temporary problem. If you run into it again, could you screenie the blockable items list for the page and let me take a look?

Well if the problem returns, just delete the all the filters (especially the filters that came with it) and then add filters for ads as you come across them so it is easier to keep track of the filters that could be causing the problem. (My same tactic for cookies, block all and add exceptions for the sites that need cookies.)

Another solution is to click the "ABP" icon to bring up the list of blockable objects in the shops and look for the address of the missing images (if they are blocked, they will come up red) and either delete the filter that is blocking it or add an exception (I highly prefer deleting the filter because it may cause problems again).

I don't think the problem is ABP. I have it and it never causes any problems. But I do know that if you don't have Adobe Flash Player installed, it won't let you see shops or the map on Neopets.
