Tropical Storm Fay

Right now, I'm still getting the outer bands of Tropical Storm Fay. I have been getting them since Monday morning. My weekend was spent not at the movies as I would have liked, but getting ready for Fay. For those who mercifully don't know what a tropical storm is, it's not fun. Pounding rain, winds up to 74mph, and the possibility of losing power.

 

The good news is that I'm only getting the outer bands so I still have power. The bad news is I'm bored out of my <expletive string> skull!! Three days of waiting, and two days of storms will drive anyone nuts.

 

*Update: According to the Weather Channel, Tampa, Fort Myers, and Naples are getting the outer bands as Fay heads for *gulp!* Disney World! She's heading for Orlando anyway.

 

I'm going to head off, and plan dinner.

Well from what I heard, Fay had the potential to achieve hurricane status before making landfall, so I'm glad to hear that it's still a tropical storm and nobody's getting hit too badly. :)
