The Original Luna
The north. The north. The north. The north. People have lived here for aeons. Lived here by these snowy peaks, looking up, admiring. Since time immemorial, we have watched. When the Varangians came and built most of our cities. Ancient cities, wondrous and splendid. Novgorod rose first, created by legendary Varangian ruler Rørik who raised it in the Holmguard settlement and settled in Staraya Lagoda, War lords and Conquerors, such as Oleg who raided Constantinople, forcing the pope to trade with our country. One hundred and fifty-six years later, the world famous Moscow appeared, seemingly small and unknown, it didn’t take long for it to become an icon of Russia. Princes took over from princes, princes became kings. Years passed, decades, centuries flying away from the past. A fleeting vision. The tsars came and passed, from Ivan IV to Nicholas II. A Grozny to a Romanov. The infamous victimiser to the famous victim. War and Famine held hands together in the past. After war, a famine after the famine, another war. A vicious circle. Political parties struggled to pull the tide of the public’s voice. Assasinations, deaths, civil-wars, World wars, and famine. Was this part of a bigger circle? Many blamed Jews. Others thought it the failings of a great nation’s people. Years passed again, not much has changed… There’s still wars and famines, terror and death. Though they seem more frequent, We can’t help but wonder…. Is this the Russia we grew up in?

Its Cyrillic. The Russian language isn't based on Latin, like other European languages.
