Also don't forget to play keyquest as it sometimes gives you lab map pieces (not lately with all the halloween stuff, but if you're lucky...), and I'm not sure if you have the neopets toolbar or not, but if you do Tarla sometimes hands out lab map pieces as well, so it's a good way to get them for free if you're lucky.

Conveniently though, that has lowered the market price of these particular map pieces for everyone else. Gotta love supply and demand, lol.

I say go for it mate! You never know what you're going to get from the lab. Plus, you'll likely get a nifty avatar. What's not to love?

It doesn't cost you a thing to keep re-listing like it would in real life, so just keep on re-listing it at the lowest price you'd be happy with. You've gotta remember it's an item you've gotten for free!

After trying with both for months, I finally won a round of Gormball and got the Grumpy King to laugh at my "Peophins" joke. I was starting to think I'd never get that second one. On top of that, the ALP lent me a Jetsam with a snow Quadrapus, meaning I've gotten five new avatars in the last week and a half! Thanks ALP. :D

Hey guys,

I'm having a bit of trouble getting this avatar. I have dug for buried treasure every day for a few months and still don't have the avatar. Is this random avatar known to be difficult to get, or am I just having a run of bad luck? Also to those who have won the avatar, at which page is it awarded? The pick a square page, or the outcome page?

I'm just a bit worried about whether or not it is legal to move money into side accounts or not. I'd like to transfer all my NP to a side so I can get the Soup Faerie avatar, but I'm concerned I will get frozen. Where do TNT stand on this issue?

With a database as big as Neopets must have, there's always bound to be a bit of data corruption. Just in case it was something malicious, it's good that you've changed your password. I'd recommend changing your pin number too, if you haven't already done so. Let us know if anything else develops from all this!

Considering that finishing the Altador plot gives players a new daily, I think it's safe to say that they simply won't be closing it. Either that or they'll take away the daily when they do.

I hope not, I only just started getting that darn daily! ;)

I've had this meteor message before, and as I said in another thread about the meteor early tonight I haven't been in a long time so I know it's been there for a while. I got a Slime Sundae at the Meteor today, so you can still get the old items. Maybe you'll get something tomorrow?

I have to agree with num1ortonfan there - while HTML and CSS sure pretty up a guild, they're not the be all and end all. As long as there's someone to tend to the other administrative duties the guild could go on without it. I hope you get some worthy applicants!

I've gotten this a few times, and I haven't been to the meteor in months. It has been around quite a while. I think it's just supposed to be a random scientist trying to study the meteor. Unfortunately not a new plot device!

Nope, it doesn't have to be the Month of Giving (or whatever they call December, lol) to get the Snow Beast. Just keep refreshing at the link in the Battlepedia.

Sorry I can't help you with the rest, I'm a bit of a BD amateur. I really would suggest just reading through the articles in the Battlepedia. It may take a while to get through but you'll find it's more rewarding in the end!

I can recommend two methods of getting the Pant Devil.

1) Refresh constantly on a page that will earn you an avatar - happens to me all the time lol!

2) Play games like Tyranu Evavu or Dice-a-Roo where you are loading a new page every time you pick a card or roll a die.

By doing these two things you should have had one of every RE in a week! :P

Wow BFL, I really didn't have any idea just how many resources were out there for BD newbies like myself. Thanks for putting them all in one post! A quick question though... are all items one use? I don't really want to spend like 100 000NP on a sword or something, only to lose it after a battle against say Punchbag Bob...

I think it sounds like a Java problem. If you continue to have difficulty, perhaps go to your preference panel and change it from Flash to HTML for a bit, then change it back when you think your browser can handle it. Another thing to do (which is always a good thing) would be to go clear your cookies. Hope this helps!

Welcome to TDN! Good luck with the Vaeolus mate, it can be a real pain in the behind. I just finished the Altador Plot last week, I was stuck for months at the water plant. When you get there send me a PM, there's a brilliant guide hidden in the forums here that helps you finish it in minutes, instead of flipping random switches for days. (That is after the petpet, right? lol)

As far as I know, that's correct. I could never even win food on that darn daily anyway - good riddance if it's gone. Yay for the plushie! I've won over 7000NP from it already. It's brilliant. I hope he doesn't stop giving things out after the Faerie Festival.

Are the runners up considered to be the "Bronze" winners? Do they all get the avatar too? I've often contemplated entering, but I don't have many arts and crafts skills. If there's ever a science or journal article-based task, I'll be all over it lol.
