So true! I hear black people call each other "nigg--" all the time, but if I were to say it, I'd get jumped. It's so hypocritical, and really stupid.

 

There's a British girl at my school, and she's totally fine with being called a brit, as long as we're not using it as a label. (We mostly use it to explain her strange sense of humor, though I don't exactly understand why...)

 

Really though, I think people should just accept what their skin tone is and deal with the labels that come with it. You can't change it, and there will always be the people who use offensive terms. Why should we let it bother us?

Oh my god, yes, I agree! It's like, the black rappers say that in their songs ALL the time, but when Eminem or another white rap/r&b singer uses the word, they are completely bashed by the media! Why are they allowed to call it themselves?

Yeah, Brit is fine to me too, I was just using it as an example :)

I think they freeze a lot of accounts for no good reason atall.

But in some ways I understand why they're strict. I suppose they have to be tough to crack down on scammers and the like. But it's very unfair when it happens to someone innocent.

I'd probably go back to around the time when I first joined. With the old layout, Adam and Donna still working there, when the lab ray was cheap and when you could qutie easily find a PB on the ground! (i found 2 when i joined six years ago) :D

If you really want the Maraquan PB then go for it and don't spend ANY of your NP until you get one! :D I'm saving for a royal pb at the moment. Not spending my NP is the hardest part =_=

You could always trade with someone else for another pet. That way it'd have an owner still.

I don't really like how we have to walk on thin ice about this topic either. It's just that some people are so sensitive y'know?

I hope I don't offend anyone here but there used to be a girl from Pakistan at my old high school. She used to write "paki 4 life" all over her English book and her hands, yet if a white person used that term, we'd get thrown in detention or shouted at, which was REALLY hypocrtical. Why can you say a name is racist when you call it yourself?

It's like me going around and calling myself a "brit" and jumping on anyone who calls it me.

I restock - from the Food Shop and the Chocolate Shop. I used to restock books but stopped when KQ started giving them out as prizes.

I just had a thought about the unconverted pb someone mentioned- that wouldn't really work cos then we wouldn't be able to put any clothes or anything on our pets! :(

Naming a few of my favs....Harry Potter, Twilight, anything Shakespeare, William Blake's poetry, Firefly Island, Sabriel, PS I Love You, Memoirs of a Geisha... and more! I take a book out of the library every few weeks or so! :)

I have a dog - he's an Alsation cross breed (can't remember what he's a cross with but he has floppy ears instead of pointy ones). I'll post a picture tommorow. I just reformatted my pc so I have to put the photos back on it later.

I don't have any music on but I'm listening to some tv programmes that are on at the moment.

I'm glad you're out of hospital now :) That can be a really tough disease to deal with...I hope you get better soon and keep fighting! :)

Turning 19 this September.

Sometimes I can be mature for my age - especially when it comes to life experience and giving advice. Other times I can be really childish, like when I'm having fun with friends. It all depends. :)

We've had some heavy snow last week but it's all gone now..! I don't mind because snow isn't really my thing! I want to see more of the sun. We don't see much of it here in England.

Okay, before anyone jumps on me for saying this, I'm not saying it out of jelousy.

I do not agree with NC Mall at the moment. For a number of reasons. My main reason at the moment is because the NC Mall is basically singling people out who don't live in the USA or some other area where you can buy merchandise. I live in the UK and Neopets isn't even that well known here. I think it's very unfair how NC Mall items are only available to Americans and a few other countries.

The key quest tokens are also unfair. Right now I'm playing with a really ugly piece but I was told I can't change it without buying Neopets merchandise! Um, I don't live within range of somewhere like that..! So it's very unfair.

I think dressing up your pets is a cool idea. I understand that Neopets have to make money somehow - but come on, haven't they got enough now? Why do they need to keep adding features that you pay more and more money for?

A similar thing happened to me with another account.

You can e-mail Neopets support but unless you can give them a LOT of info, they won't give you the details. They will want to know items you had, pets you had, petpets attached, battledome items equipped, your password, etc. They wanted all this info for me and I couldnt' give it to them because I hadn't logged on for over a year.

Unless you can provie them that info, then you can't get your account back.

I used to use Firefox and everytime I played Keyquest it crashed. I switched to IE and it's been fine ever since, so maybe its an issue with your browser?
