A freeloader is someone who just joins a team he/she thinks will win. They don't bother playing at all, and have no valid real-life issue excuse why they don't play.

Ever since I joined Kiko Lake this year, I found the cup more enjoyable being in the underdog teams. YOu guys should try it too.... your scores actually have more weight when your team is smaller.

Yeah, it goes live on the 7th. Make SURE YOU HAVE ALREADY SPENT YOUR POINTS ON THE PREVIOUS CUP, they DON'T carry over.

But for me, I'd rather have the prize shop delayed for 1 month and have BETTER PRIZES than immediately but rubbish.

I think in the finals, only YYB counts.

I've heard from many Tyrannians that they have sidegame swept MQ looking at their scores in the neoboards (MQ didn't play MSN and SS, and had MUCH lesser SoSD), yet MQ is still the one to advance.

Though it's most likely like that, we won't know if it's really true unless TNT gives solid evidence/proof.

I actually had planned a few trophies, but I'm not sure if I would push through with it. It will depend whether the artist had worked on it or not :P.

It's most likely TM for me, but I have a feeling that AL will be taken out. They may be the host country, but they might have some kind of excuse (like Altador will give an open invitational from all lands, and watch from the benches next year).

But if I were asked, I DON'T want another AC. I'd rather have a new plot replacing it :(

Wow, MI barely sneaks into tier 2, but is now fighting for 5th! :O. I know they are a strong team, but they just play like when they feel like playing. :O

Kreludor isn't nearly as big compared to LD, KI, and SK. Probably why they have a low count?

BTW, I think I can see where this is going, but I hope it's not. If KI wins this year, and Kreludor wins, then we'll see that dreaded PATTERN o_O.

Anyway, I'm rooting for KI actually. my old team, before I left to join an RI due to an influx of bashers. Still have my heart for the team though! :)

There were no awards given for best center player. Bertie, Elon, Wizard and Zo must be steaming up like a volcano in their neohomes now...

I would consider it a coincidence.

First, Roo island has defeated Krawk Island in the double round robin... TWICE. And given the fact that both teams are already dominant, both teams would already be playing to the maximum, and both times, Roo Island emerged victorious.

Moreover, Roo island's yooyuball losses came from Lost Desert (first RRB, and a sweep), and Meridell (second RRB). Lost Desert, during the first round robin, was looked down upon by the other teams, so it's possible that Rooligans have slacked off. Same with Meridell, they were considered a middle-tier team, and again slacked off. Even though Krawk takes top yooyuball leading by a draw over Roo, it does not mean that Roo had weaker players when put on maximum.

Second, Slushie Slinger and Make Some Noise had no effect in the last standings. If they did, then Krawk would have emerged victorious as they won both side games. And side games is where Krawk usually emerges victorious by far from the other teams.

Last, freeloaders might have been another case. TNT can say all the want, but it's possible. In the top 11 of the top 25 YYB players list I compiled, there are SIX Darigan Citadel Players, and two of them are occupying 1st and 2nd. Aside from that, you still see a lot of dedicated darigan players with good stats (many even reaching all-star ranking). Now the big question is, why did they finish in 7th place? With that many players playing, it should have been possible for DC to go up to the top tier, despite winning the cup last year. Only the term "freeloader" comes as a possiblity in this case. Krawk Island's dominance could have open their gates to more freeloaders, pulling down the average of the whole team, helping Roo in winning the cup.

Most of the top players are DC and KI, yet DC finishes 7th. I would speculate either more RI players were just playing, but not posting on boards (or possibly many are really working on it), or freeloaders did have an effect on DC.

Good point, however, I don't think it's really caused by new players freeloading. There might be other possible factors such as RI slacking off, or KI players shifting second gear.

Also, yooyuball was the only basis in the finals. KI might have won the sub-games, but RI won yooyuball and took the cup home. It was not a huge surprise because RI efeated KI in the double round robin twice, and at this point, both teams were more likely than not giving it their all.

Yup I did that, however, I was ignored several times :(.

Most Yooyuball Wins (25 spots)

Best GPG (1000 wins minimum) (25 spots)

Most SS plays (very minimal to no low score games) (10 spots)

SS Top Score (10 spots)

Most MSN plays (same as SS) (10 spots)

MSN high score (i MIGHT remove this because many have scored 9990+) (10 spots)
