  1. Kinda cheated AAA today. Just went into Gravity Mode and kept losing until a Fish Negg spawned first. Insta-900 points. Lame, but effective.

If anyone else does this, thank me for lowering the price of the Meerca Neggs >_>

  2. I can't thank you enough for the link to the petpage. I had a strange conglomeration of repetitive calculations, and that link let me finish up within two hours (yes, so much time alotted to Step 2, so I'm hoping it's worth it).

I do urge people not to give up! Just have to find a system that works for you and leaves no possible solution unchecked. Don't give up guys, you can do it!

  3. Well, I'm quite disappointed now. I figured that this could besolved with some good-old-fashioned elbow grease, but even after applying that, it still comes down to guess and check! ; ;

I'm going to mope now... All the work I put into those equations...

  4. I was experiencing the same problem and then i solved one of the other 3 mod codes and now it is gone... None of the codes left look like that and none of them have the 0 w/ the dot in the center... neever thought with solving one i would become more confused

My guess is that it's something to keep someone from getting their hands on the code and then skipping going through the other 19 messages. Thus you have to go through the process of "unlocking" the next higher steps so to speak. Thus when the three(?) 6-symbol, 3-modifiers are busted, the data is completed, allowing you further access to the codes.

Essentially, you have to solve it all!

  5. I've got eleven, and assumed the three modifiers would be easy... just got really lucky on the first one I did, I suppose. Seems like the only solution at this point is to try and solve it "mathematically", so to speak. But, even then... ugh. What a pain.

    EDIT:

Getting some sleep, here's some of the "math" I've gathered so far for the 6 symbol, 3 modifiers:

    T+T+T+T=V

    T+T+T+V=T

    T+T+V+V=V

    T+V+V+V=T

    T+T+T+X=8

    T+T+X+X=Z

    T+X+X+X=V

    T+T+T+C=Z

    T+T+C+C=8

    T+C+C+C=V

    T+T+T+Z=C

    T+T+Z+Z=8

    T+Z+Z+Z=T

    T+T+T+8=X

    T+T+8+8=Z

    T+8+8+8=T

    Z+Z+Z+Z=Z

    Z+Z+Z+V=V

    Z+Z+V+V=8

    Z+V+V+V=Z

    Z+Z+Z+X=X

    Z+Z+X+X=V

    Z+X+X+X=C

    Z+Z+Z+C=C

    Z+Z+C+C=Z

    Z+C+C+C=C

    Z+Z+Z+8=8

    Z+Z+8+8=V

    Z+8+8+8=Z

    8+8+8+8=8

    8+8+8+V=V

    8+8+V+V=Z

    8+V+V+V=8

    8+8+8+X=X

    8+8+X+X=8

    8+X+X+X=X

    8+8+8+C=C

    8+8+C+C=V

    8+C+C+C=X

    C+C+C+C=Z

    C+C+C+V=T

    C+C+V+V=8

    C+V+V+V=C

    C+C+C+X=8

    C+C+X+X=V

    C+X+X+X=Z

    X+X+X+X=8

    X+X+X+V=T

    X+X+V+V=Z

    X+V+V+V=X

    V+V+V+V=V

Now this is far from a complete list, but I've got to teach class in the morning! So, I'll try and keep up with this, taking notes when no one is looking and jotting down ideas.

When it comes down to it, I love puzzles, and I hate to have one beat me!

  6. I haven't started on the incomplete data ones...

I can only assume that that's part of the puzzle. We'd have to solve it completely different from how we'd been doing it previously.

  7. Rarg! Okay, can some one PLEASE explain to me HOW you are actually doing this. Do you put in three at a time or not? And if you do, please explain this "it's like addition" thing better.

I'll see if I can't give you an example from what I'm working on right now.

EDIT: Okay, while I was going to take some screenshots, I found that I could no longer click on any of the choices. I'll explain in a little bit, anyone else having this problem?

I'll walk you through step by step with what I did.

1: I placed a number of the Choices (as I'll refer to them from hereon) at random into the Slots. Usually this was the first, second, and third Choice. I then noted the result.

2: Each Column "combines" vertically to create a result, including the original key. For the first few, this consists of only two variables, but progresses to four. Take note of each variable and what they "combine" to create.

3: I then repeated Step 1 and 2 until I was satisfied that I'd exhausted all possible combinations. I wrote down what variables in a Column created what other variable. Then I could either...

a.) Look at my notes mathematically and figure out which two-three Choices best fit into their Slots or...

b.) Look at the Result needed for the first Column and try out a number of solutions of combining Choices much lesser then the number present. This allows me to reduce the number of possible options from let's say... "30!" to something more reasonable like "7!"

    PS: Everything is communicative.

  8. First time poster on these boards, long time reader.

I have figured out 11 of the codes so far, and dread to reach the "Incomplete Data" ones, and I thought I'd lend as much help as I possibly could. What I've done is grab some paper and jotted down what combinations equal what solution. However they constantly change as they move into more variables. Thus, it's a constant decoding over and over.

Once a solution is found for the first variable of the target, I can limit my "random guesses" to just within those necessary variables. Here's an example of some of my chicken-scratch:

    NPEquations.jpg

And to prove I'm not sending you all false information, I do indeed have 11 completed so far... I would love some help though!
