Has anyone else heard about a possible Outsiders remake? A few people in my art class were joking about the idea of a remake and who should be cast for the movie. Only supposedly it's going to be a more "urban" version. (I can't think of any other way to describe it) No, I won't go into a rant about modern blaxploitation. I just wanted to know someone elses opinion.

P.S. Zac Efron could so be one of the soces. ^_^

Yeah, Nicktoons Network has Invader ZIM. That makes it worth watching. :D

Well these are actually movies from last year, but did anyone realize that there was a movie following The Dark is Rising series. It's based on the second book, and Christopher Eccleston plays the rider. Has anyone seen this movie? Is it any good? Is it on dvd yet? I'm just so upset I haven't heard about this movie until now. :grrr:

Also, has anyone seen We are the Strange? I really liked it, though don't watch it expecting much of a plot. If you're in to weird art and animation, then I'm sure you'll like this movie. It's pretty much stop motion/cgi/video game/strangeness.

Movies I'm wishing for though may never be:

Samurai Jack (according to the "infallible" wiki, the series was never officially canceled, and I must know how Jack's story ends :crying: )

Deadpool (if wolverine is getting his own movie, why not him too being a fellow weapon x freak n' all)

Oh, Yes.... when I discovered the kneaded eraser... I fell in love. It allows for so much more detail. I admire how you pretty much taught yourself how to draw by reading books. That's so insanely old school (minus studying under an actual master artist).

Have you tried cross hatching rather than smudging? I've never heard of that "T" thing...

yes, Zuko is a spaz... I like how the fire nation kiddies are so awkward around "normal" people... (see: the Beach)

Umm, I've gained so much respect for Sokka this season, and the newest episode was not exception. It's so crazy how he's so good at strategy yet acts like a moron any other time...

These pictures are really good. Any proportion problems can usually be solved by measuring as you draw. You'd be surprised how much a small change in the placement of the eyes or the mouth can change a face.

How long have you been drawing? I'm thinking for some time since beginning drawers don't usually understand putting in tones and controlling line weight... Not to mention, with your first picture, you varied the lines in the hair much better than in the second one.

30 Days of Night wasn't bad, but it wasn't spectacular either. It was just kind of unexpected for me.

Um, the Prisoner? as in with Six... as in "I shall not be tagged, labeled... etc." ? I've always wanted to see that show.

I still want to see Enchanted... I hope it gets to the dollar theatre soon, though if it's really popular that might take a while.

I would have to say that they're not very aesthetically pleasing. Though as far as looking tough, I'd be scarred if I saw a fire nation ship come to port near me.

I would like one of those hot air balloons though....

iloveanythingfeline- I wouldn't think that you would have to create something on the computer. I know that I'm best at drawing with my hands, not to mention how awkward it would be to try to drawing with a mouse.

Isn't a clear scan good enough for a submission? I would suggest something in ink though since pencil doesn't scan very well.

Also, thanks for explaining some of Festivus, loocem. It's a made up holiday, but many people have actually started celebrating it. There's even a company that produces the aluminum Festivus poles. The holiday consists of such events as a feast, the airing of grievances, and the feats of strength.

Would a Festivus drawing be allowed? o_O

Heroes! yes! That's one of the only shows I set time aside to watch (Sylar Fan!). The only other show I'm following is Dexter...(not the cartoon)

Over winter break I plan to catch up on everything else though ^_^

I would have liked to see more anti Kira groups. It would have been interesting to see how Light handled being attacked from many different directions. It would have really showed that not everyone was just going to lie down and accept the world that Kira was trying to create for them.

As far a Mikami being normal, I thought he was bit obsessive compulsive. But I'm not a neat person, so perhaps I just don't understand the need for that level of order in one's life...

I don't see how that's true. I know that I disliked every devious thing Light did. Reading death note was like being an unwilling witness to a serial killer and not being able to tell anyone. I kept reading waiting to see when he would be discovered.

I knew the plot of Distubia reminded me of something... I've never seen "Rear Window," but I know I've seen it parodied before... (on a halloween episode of the simpsons I think...)
