I have always wanted a Faerie or Maractite Paintbrush and have been saving my NP off and on for like, fifteen years trying to buy one but I'm not sure I'll ever have the points.

I would also love to have the Lab Ray map again-- on my very first account when I was a teenager, I had it and zapped my pets a dozen times, probably, but then I fell for a scam and my account got stolen. By the time I got back into Neopets again, the price of the map together became so expensive and hard to find that I've lost hope of ever getting it.

I'm with you on being an adult on Neopets (My current account is ~9 years old but I've been on Neopets since around 2001-2002, as I lost my first account to scamming as a young teen like a newb) and I am also a newcomer to the forums, but everyone I've encountered here so far has been nothing but kind, funny, and helpful! I'm confident you'll have a similar experience :)

I've never had an MRI myself, only a CT scan, but I am a nurse so I definitely second what everyone else has been saying in terms of comfort measures, especially the music-- I'm sure that would ease your nerves a lot if your medical facility is set up for it! I think sleeping should be fine as long as you don't move around too much, that's usually the biggest issue when it comes to MRIs, because the more still you stay, the clearer the image and the better the radiologists will be able to see anything worrisome. 

You said that you've had the contrast before, so you're probably more or less aware of what that's like, but just in case you have a different experience, it can sometimes make you get a metallic taste in your mouth or even sometimes feel like you've actually wet yourself when you haven't, as silly as that sounds! Both are totally normal, though. :P

I just got a message saying that Trudy's Surprise had reset and was waiting for me, but when I got there, it said "Come back tomorrow for more prizes" when I haven't even had a successful spin since Sunday (like I said upthread, it would spin but it wouldn't have a pop-up saying how much I won and I didn't earn any NP from it)

Anyone else having that problem? Unless that changes, I'm not going to be able to spin again until tomorrow, which is kind of a bummer :( I hope everything gets fully worked out soon!

I seem to be having the same problem a lot of people are having-- yesterday around 7PM EST, I went to do all my dailies, and Trudy's Surprise took forever to load. After refreshing a couple times, I finally got the page to show up, but when I clicked the button to pull the lever, it finished spinning but no pop-up came up to tell me what I won. I left the page where it was and finished my dailies, since sometimes for me it just takes a while for it all to catch up, but after 10-15 minutes, I saw that nothing had happened and I refreshed the page.

It let me keep trying to spin it, which I did about 4-5 times before I got paranoid that the site was going to think I was trying to cheat or something and gave up. I went to send a ticket but the program for that feature didn't seem to be working either so I just said "whatever" and went about my business. So, this morning, I tried to do it AGAIN and had the same problem, where the wheels would spin, but it wouldn't tell me what/how much I had won, and I could refresh and try to spin again with the same results, which is when I finally came here to see what was up. Hopefully it resolves itself soon, it has to be at least 24 hours since its been glitchy, right?

The new page for Trudy's Surprise doesn't seem to be working for me at the moment, so I haven't had a chance to use it since I realized the changes were in effect (which was literally just now when I saw this post, lol-- I usually do my Neopets dailies in the evening after dinner, but when it didn't pop up when I signed in, I figured I must have just shown up too early and forgot about it), but I'm hoping that its just because they're working out the kinks and it will end up resolving itself soon.

Like some of the commenters said upthread, I am kind of bummed about the timing of the change, since I was only a day or two away from the 100k prize, but I am glad that it is resetting at midnight like the rest of the dailies so I can do TS with the rest of my dailies and not have to worry about remembering what random time I got it the day before. Hopefully it will end up working well once everything is figured out!

Everyone else has already pretty much covered everything, but aside from the medical part, the key is just being kind to yourself! Do what you're able to do and try not to push yourself too hard if you can help it, though I know currently being abroad probably makes things a lot trickier.

I don't have PCOS, but I too have other health issues with similar symptoms and finding something chill and easy to distract yourself from pain and discomfort can help a ton. I second the coloring recommendation-- my sister got me an adult coloring book (one with ~psychedelic~ designs and one with paisley patterns) with some colored pencils and they are a great way to take your mind off of things, and of course playing on Neopets have helped me a lot as well.

That is such a nice thing for you to do! You sound like a very kind and compassionate person. I love what that user did with the Gray Usul too, she looks amazing! What an awesome use of the Lab Ray map. :)

Welcome! I'm also new to TDN, but have been on Neopets forever as well (I've had my current account for 9 years, but have been on the site probably closer to 16 years because my dumb 13-year-old self fell for a scam and lost all my NP and was locked out of my first/original account, lol. Whoops! Lesson learned :P), so it's nice to see another newbie to the forums like myself! This community is so great from what I've gathered in my limited experience, so I'm glad you joined us! 

I'm also super impressed that you're in law school! That is such a tough field, so I give you tons of props for that. :) Also, hooray for gardening and super-nerdery! Those are some excellent hobbies. ;)

Today I bought a Coltzan's Cash scratchcard from the Lost Desert Kiosk and I got nothing :(

I usually get Smelly Jelly, Lint Jelly, Squished Jelly, and Peanut Butter and Jelly Jelly. Though, recently, I've been getting a lot more Lemon and Pear, but it's mostly the first four. I feed them to my pets pretty quickly, so I don't have a lot stored up in my SDB or I'd count them up. :)

I just bought an Ice Caves Scratchcard (Race to Riches, because my luck is terrible and this is the only kind I ever get LOL) and I won $2,500! This is the first time I've won in at least a week, probably longer, though I can't remember specifics.
