I have a lot of patience but even I"m getting frustrated now.

Yeah, so many things have changed, but I'm still super nostalgic so that's what keeps bringing me back as well. I'm definitely more of a hermit than I was way back when because I'm more like you, focusing more on my Neopets and avatars. Guilds were basically my life on Neo years ago :laughingsmiley:

 

I think we're all old hermits now, haha.

Neopets was basically my life between 11-13, as embarrassing as that is.

It definitely becomes more of a past time as we get older. :3

I'm the same.

I've been on and off hiatus since 2006 - every time I leave and come back major stuff has changed.

It is lonelier ... like you said, all of my neofriends aside from two have quit or self iced. But it's still a cute little site.

I used to be really into the social aspect - guilds, roleplaying, etc - and now I focus more on my Neopets and avatars and such.

 

The nostalgia is what keeps me coming back, no matter how old and out of the loop I feel. c:

I used to work in Evansville! I lived in Henderson, KY :) Now I live in a small town in Central KY. I miss Evansville. I've only been back once since I moved.

 

I feel you on the insomnia thing. I'm on here all hours of the night, lol

 

Evansville is a nifty little city.

I'm so sad that I've missed their fried food fest (can't remember the actual name?) for the past few years. They had such weird yummy food.

What are your tattoos of? I have 3. 40 stars on my back (of various sizes... I count it has 1 since I had it done in one sitting), cherry blossom branch on my lower stomach area and the Latin phrase "Alis volat propriis" on my foot (means she flies with her own wings.) I love body art! I want more ink but have just not decided what I want next.

 

Jealous of you being in Florida :P I'm in Kentucky... freezing.

I have IV.XV on my wrist - the birth date of an ex who passed away a few years ago

"Vespertine" on my collarbone, which is the title of my book of poems (50 pages so far) and it's sort of an inside story with me and my roommate and his girlfriend, as we all have insomnia and sort of 'wake' and emerge once the sun starts to set... and now I sound like a vampire.

It gets ridiculously cold, I feel your pain so much. Have you always lived there?

I'm Jojo, an almost 20 year old college student, intending to get a nursing degree.

Some random facts:

 

♡ I live in Florida.

♡ I have 3 rats (Marla [singer], Luna [Lovegood] and Tofu) and a cat (Bambi).

♡ I have several piercings: septum, ears 3x, nose, belly button, and hip dermals.

& two tattoos: My wrist and my collarbone.

♡ I have social anxiety which makes it quite difficult to communicate with people, hence why I'm online pretty often.

 

I've been playing Neopets since I was about 11/12 years old. It's been an on and off again "relationship", but I've remained pretty active for the past year or so. Although the site has changed dramatically and is a tad more stressful, I still manage to have fun and escape reality. I essentially have no Neofriends anymore (most of them quit long ago), but I do enjoy meeting new people and working on my pets.

 

So, yeah.
