  1. ((Ack, sorry about the name mixup. My bad, not Mimi's.))

"Woah, so you mean that the red fox had the same name as your brother?" said Mimi to Ayde. She looked surprised. "Very strange..."

She suddenly turned to Lyed after hearing his idea. "Wait a minute! From the future?!" She laughed. "That's crazy! People don't just go zipping around through time like its a train system or something. Come on. It was probably just a coincidence." She grew quiet, then thought it over some. "Still... it seems pretty strange that he disappeared after Levy got injured. It almost all seems too coincidential."

  2. After having ensured Levy got safely to the hospital, Mimi and Li headed down to the police station. Upon finding no work available, they decided to go to some shops to stock up on supplies and get maintenance done on their equipment in case they ran into that black fox again. When they had finished this, they parted ways and headed home.

While heading home, Mimi noticed Stella and Ayde talking together. She recognized Stella from before. "Hey! Um... uh... Stella, right?" She cross over the street towards them. "How you doing? Are you feeling better?" She totally missed the conversation going on between Stella and Ayde.

  3. Li was now in a sour mood. That was the second time he got grabbed today. He knew he should have gotten more sleep last night. His reflexes were slow. He immediately withdrew from the rest of the group and stood back a ways in order to nurse his dignity.

Mimi, meanwhile, smiled as she knew she'd probably pick on him about it. Li was always so serious and self-disciplined, it was pretty funny to see him trip up like that. But, she couldn't laugh at him right now. She had a job to do. She kept her attention on Levy's wound. "There. That'll work until an ambulance comes." She finished tying up the bandages. "Now, just try to keep it still until I can find something to use as a splint."

  4. "My name's Mimi. Fighter-for-hire. That's my partner, Li, over there." Without looking up, she motioned over to where Li was dealing with Shadow and Lyed. "We were going down to the police station to see if they needed some help with that killer, but we didn't expect to run into him while walking down there."

She pulled a roll of bandages out of her pocket. "I'm afraid this is all I have. Not as good as a first aid kit, but better than nothing. It'll work until we can get to the hospital." She started trying to bind up the wound and slow down the bleeding.

    "So, what's your name?"

  5. "Well, we need to get you to shelter. Who can say if that killer's not still running about? Besides, I have a first aid kit back at the store." said Mimi.

"Or do you think you can't make it? Maybe it's better if..." She turned to Robin. "Can you call an ambulance? There's a payphone right over there." She got back to seeing what she could do about Levy's wound to at least stop the bleeding without moving it around too much.

  6. "Hmm..." said Mimi. It seemed like a resting place was what all of them needed. It wasn't that far from the café Li worked at. "Alright then, everybody follow me." She made a motion. "We'll head back to the café. I have a first aid kit back there." She turned to Levy. "You think you can make it back? It's only a block away."

Meanwhile, Li ran up to Shadow. "Hey! Stop doing it!" He stepped in front of him.

  7. Li was definately shocked, and not too happy about being dragged along. A most unfortunate accident. One he would have to learn to avoid in the future. He got up, dusted himself off, then picked up his rod. He spotted Lyed, with Shadow grabbing his tail. Li walked up to Shadow and grabbed his shoulder.

"Hey. Let him go. You'll make him fall."

Meanwhile, Mimi was starting to pull herself together, and quickly pulled her pistols out of their holsters, despite it being too late to do anything. It made her feel better to have them out. She turned to Levy and noticed his arm. "Ouch. That looks bad." She put one of her pistols back and walked over to him. "Hey, there... um.. stranger! You want me to take a look at that wound? I know a little field first aid."

  8. "Ah!" Mimi's eyes grew round. She was in shock, and forgot to draw her pistols. Never had an attack come at her so fast and so soundlessly. Being a bat, she had excellent hearing, and often could have heard something like that being prepared. But this time, she was completely caught off guard. All she could do was stare in shock from her position on the ground. He... I didn't even hear it coming! He's no ordinary killer. He's supernatural!

Li immediately got between Mimi and the red fox. He didn't attack, merely got in a defensive position. Most of what they were talking about he had no idea. However, he heard very clearly the part about "killing innocents". That was something he wouldn't stand for. He prepared himself for whatever could come next.

  9. "He killed your friend? That's terrible." Mimi said. She put her hands in her pockets. Somebody's watching us. she thought.

She continued. "But why couldn't you just hire someone else?"

Now it was Li's turn to give Mimi the look. "It's a personal score. She want's to settle this directly with him."

"But still..." said Mimi, pushing some stones around with her boot. "Wouldn't it be a good idea to hire at least some backup help? Some aid?"

Li sighed. There she goes again, trying to get us hired. he thought. "Mimi. Just leave it be. Stella doesn't have to hire us as back up."

His ear twitched. Mimi's tensed up. Probably hears something. Might be the killer. Better get ready in case something happens. He grasped his rod by the other hand.

  10. Li gave a nod of acknowlegment. He kept glancing around, keeping his eyes open for either of the foxes that had been described to him. Mimi, on the other hand, seemed much more willing to talk.

"Hey! I don't think we've met before. The name's Mimi. Nice to meetcha." She offered a hand to shake.

"The killer's a red fox. Tall. Male. In his early 20s. Wears black rags and robs. Has a metal chain with sharpened links." interrupted Li.

"Li!" Mimi nudged him with her elbow. "Quit being so stiff and formal."

"We need to keep moving. It's more dangerous to stay in one place. They may come along if they want." Li moved as if to start down the street.

"Li!! Come on! You could at least say 'Hello!" or something."

Li sighed and turned around. "Hello." He waved rather abruptly.

"Anyways," said Mimi, turning away from her partnerer. "Like I said, nice to meetcha. We're just heading down to the police station to see if they need a claw or paw with this killer on the loose. Anywhere in particular you guys are going?"

  11. Li turned to Lyed first. "I haven't seen anybody like that."

Then, he turned to Stella to respond to her question. "Is there somewhere important you need to get?" Li asked Stella. He was about to say more, but then Mimi came running up.

"Hey! Li! Come on! What's the hold up? We've got to get down to the-" She stopped mid-sentence as she caught up with him and sniffed the air. "Ick. Something smells like sewage."

  12. The streets were almost completely deserted. Most of the shops were quickly closing up as people went home for safety. Li noticed Stella, as she seemed a little lost to him. Maybe she hadn't heard about it. He walked over to her.

"Excuse me, ma'am. There is a dangerous killer on the loose. I recommend you find somewhere safe you can stay for a while. "

  13. Mimi and Li listened to the announcement about the massacre and the red fox on the radio, as Li finished cleaning up.

"Well," said Mimi, setting down her bowl and smiling. "Looks like we better be getting down to the police station. They could probably use a couple of extra paws and claws down there." She pulled one of her revolvers and made sure it was loaded. She then took the safety off. "I wonder how much the reward would be for catching a guy like him."

Li said nothing, and merely grunted as he walked back around the counter.

"Say it. Come on. I know you want to." said Mimi. "You are such a pessimist."

"Mimi, when was the last time you ever sat down and thought things through reasonably?" replied Li.

"When was the last time we saw some real action around here?" countered Mimi, putting her heavier vest with holsters on over her shirt.

"You know," said Li, taking off his apron and hanging it up. "Most mercenaries don't actually go looking for ways to get killed. Especially ones with not very much experience." He reached behind the counter and pulled out a rod.

Mimi sighed. "Alright, alright, we won't go looking for him. We'll head down to the police station and see if they need any help? All right? Relax." She tossed the bowl towards Li. Li managed to catch it with one hand, but he didn't look too pleased at the manhandling of his dishes. He put it up. Mimi flipped the nearby sign from "Open" to "Closed", then the two set out cautiously towards the police station.

  14. Yeah. I kinda started to realize that after a while. :* *is "kinda" slow*

Neopets Plot's aren't exactly suppose to be great novels. What counts is that they are interesting, and hopefully will throw some twists in there to at least make it a little different.

  15. Down at a small cafe, Li was cleaning plates off from lunch. It had mostly been a slow day for the eatery. However, as he was subconciously listening to the radio, he picked up a news report.

"... large explosion heard, to which the police responded..."

But by the time his consciousness tuned into the radio, it went away for commercial break. Typical. He turned to glance over at his associate, Mimi, a light brown fruit bat with short brown hair, who was lazily propped back in her chair with a bowl of fruit.

"Oh, come on now." said Mimi, with her mouth half-full of fruit. "Just because you hear about explosions on the radio doesn't mean we're gonna get a job." She washed the fruit down with a glass of water.

"Eating too much fruit will still make you gain weight." replied Li, turning back to his cleaning duties.

Mimi sat up in irritation at her red panda partner's comment. Then, she laughed. "Oh, come off it. Just because you're the quiet, stoic type doesn't mean you still don't get bored. I know your hopes were up that we were going to get another job." She leaned back and continued eating away. "Besides, I get such a work out, I can eat a much fruit as I want to."

Despite their conversation, Li and Mimi both secretly continued to listen to the radio to see if they could pick up anymore information about the explosion.

  16. I left my browser on Neopets for a bit, and when I refreshed I was like WOAH! I was surprised at the new layout. It's pretty nice. So far I like it.

As far as the redraws are concerned, for me, it was a semi-mini disaster. I liked the Lupe and the Ogrin redraws, they worked pretty well with the personalities I came up for them. The male Wocky redraw was a hideous deformity to my Wocky's personality (ok, so maybe I'm exaggurating little bit, but I was pretty frustrated about it). The giant, goofy eyebrows made him look like idiot. So, I had to come up with a remedy for that situation. I'm not so liking the male redraws for the Ashia, but they are livable, and I may learn to adjust. Either that, or I will have saved up enough cash to buy another morphing potion for my pet.

Mostly, right now, I think it's just... surprising. The meepit was right. I WAS NOT PREPARED! o_O

  17. That's never happened to me before. I've gotten a free spin, but never three in a row. o_O

Though I have had strange luck. I found two map pieces within same minute (unfortunately they weren't from the same map).

  18. From an account you can access, make the account you can't a Neofriend. Even though you can't accept, you can see the accounts age and thus its year of birth. From then on, just try key dates, making sure you don't re-enter the same date twice. It's annoying when you have to wait. :P

Actually, on a note regarding this, I have an idea.

If trying key dates isn't working, and you think the birthdate is sometime soon, then you could wait and watch the account until it gains another year. Then you would know the full birthdate.

  19. Oooh, I really like it. I would use one for my shop background, with an alignment either to the left or the right instead of infinite tiles.

I think the JubJub one is better, because the JubJub's shape looks best with that color arrangement.

  20. I recently came back from a very long break from neopets so I can't get into my old 42 month old account as I can't remember the DOB I used. ^^ Oh well. It's fun to start again, anyhow...

Wow, I suffered from a simlilar setback. And then, when I tried to ask for some help from TNT, they asked for me to give a e-mail.

The only problem was, I didn't give an e-mail on that account. :(

So, I wound up starting over. If I could only remember what I put for the DOB...

  21. Oooh! I liked the comics very much. They were funny. Though I admit there were some parts I didn't understand, being relatively new.

I can imagine making comics would be some work. I tried working with sprites once, and it took a lot longer than I thought. X P

Hope you can rest up your mouse-using arm and your creative areas of your brain. 'Till then, I'll be patient.

  22. Yay! I'm looking very much forward to this game. I love Sudoku. However, I can already tell that I'm going to run out of bonus time most of the time for this game.
