Personally i don't think doppelganger has been activated. It must be something to do with the battledome, but I've tried lots of things (as have many others) and can't see any difference.

The name implies that there's a 'double' of something. Also, none of the boons are particularly... great, they all have either a very low and random activation rate or don't get to be used much. Tigersaurusrex says several of his one-use items have been doubled on the rare occasion, which fits right in with the other boons. I now wish I had picked the stock market boon after all. :/

Missjustina - I'm just curious, what don't you like about this becoming a regular feature?

Foxxy_chic - There's a minimum amount of battling required to get the prizes, but we're not quite sure what the amount is. Sorry you didn't get anything. :(

Tyrannian Battleground! - It seems that the boons bestowed by the oracle have faded and the battlefield has been cleared for the next skirmish. It's again time for the factions to fight to claim the oracle's blessing for themselves! The oracle will choose three factions (excluding the previous winner) to fight in each Battleground. Choose a faction to support, aid your fellows in battle, and be rewarded!

I was part of the thieves and i went to the battleground to claim my avatar and site theme but it just has the oracle and countdown??? i want my avatar :(

How many battles did you fight? I don't know how many you need to do to get the prizes, but I know there is a minimum. I'm sorry. :(

Again lost... I want the seekers avatar :( I don't need the boons, I just want that avatar... seems sad that you have to choose the right team to get the avatar...

All the factions will win eventually. :) I'm not saying TNT's going to take any control over it, but the only real prizes are the avatars/site themes - when it comes down to it, players will pick a faction that has a prize they don't have yet. Just keep picking Seekers and you'll get it eventually! :)

3. I think the "Doing Your Part" bar was what counted towards your faction's points. Any battles after that didn't help your faction win, but they gave you, individually, more points.

If anything past that gave points, it was probably a quickly decreasing number. For example, if you got 10 points for your first one, the next one would've been worth 9 points, then 8, and so on. I got 344k points, my brother got more than 600k - I did a lot more battles than he did (he just filled the bars), he did some digging which I wasn't here for. He also seems to be on par with what other people got here, although I could be wrong and all the people who got 600k+ may have just filled their bars too.

LOL Yeah, you would think they'd learn from back then about being so slow on the prize distributions. :P

Even if different TNTers are there instead of those that were around with the olde wars. Knowing the history of things like that would be beneficial for making us users happy. ;)

Reading this week's editorial (Dummydumpty already posted it up there ^ ), it sounds a lot like they're more worried about people being disappointed with prizes - which means yes, they know the history of things that would be beneficial for making users happy, which means they've learned not to release prizes before they're happy with the results. Seems pretty logical to me - after all, which would you complain about for longer: a month for awesome prizes to be released, or crappy prizes after two weeks? There's really a lot more downside to releasing prizes nobody likes than there is for an extra few weeks wait.

These are all things that were done (or else SHOULD have been done) during the planning stages of the event.

 

Personally I'm speculating that this really will turn into a plot or at least a longer-term event, and this pause is just one of what will be several built-in breaks during which site activity returns to normal, scheduled annual activities happen, etc. But maybe I'm overly-optimistic and TNT is really as disorganized as you're guessing, siniri. :P I hope not!

Can't plan for everything. Isn't this the first war they've done in the new battledome? It can't've gone as smoothly as they'd hoped underneath the surface - all well and good in testing until half the playerbase is hunting for ways to break it. We already saw the Surprise Attack break (okay, which TNT member said "This is going great!" and jinxed it?), can't be the only thing or I'll be incredibly impressed with TNT. I'd hazard a guess that the people losing their way to equality wasn't part of their plan either (but I could be wrong).

Myself, I can't see this turning into a huge plot. I'd love it, but it seems to me like it was hardly more than a test for the new battledome and possibly other new systems they're putting in place. On the bright side, I do think this means they'll be bringing out a huge plot some time in the near future.

My final score is 454-10-100, definitely did well over the 1000 damage it was supposed to take on easy and I never did get it. :/ Started with my level 50 pet but adopted one when I realised he'd have that many losses. My brother has a Too High To Count battle pet and he got both within the first few fights somewhere. I'd love to know what you really had to do, but I can't see TNT actually telling us the answer. With all the bosses gone we may never know. :/

350 normal, 10 strong and 83 mighty against Apathy. Phew. Using an adopted neopet because, you know, losses.. :rolleyes_anim: Although I've got my best weapons on it and I'm certain I've dealt more than 1000 damage and still don't have that achievement... ._.
