  1. Honestly, I wouldn't get into this, its more trouble than its worth, because like lamppost said, you're liable to get scammed.

You can look for another website, just google it.

An alternative is to check e-bay. You're less likely to get ripped off there, but I don't know if anyone one sells them. Check amazon too.

    EDIT:

There are some on e-bay, but guess what? most of them are horribly over priced.

    http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Nickelodeon-Game-Card-Neopets-Neocash-25-Fast-shipping-/321045948727?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4abfd46937&_uhb=1#ht_558wt_1139

This one is kinda reasonable, and seller has a lot of positive feed back.

  2. I very much doubted that there's a site like that, cause as far as I know cards are only sold to stores, so for a website they would have to be purchased by a 3rd party, which would be unprofitable as cards often cost slightly more that the amount they give anyways.

    Or so I thought anyways...

    But this looks promising.

I would guess there's some kind of benefit neopets or nick gets from physical purchases and the free gifts are meant to be incentive.

But see those are still a few dollars more, because they are trying to make a profit, you may still be better off buying online.

If you have a good friend you trust in a country that sells them you could ask them to do it for you.

  3. From what I've seen, high price items like that, including the draik transmorg potion (I've been watching it myself though I'm only like a 1/8 of the way there) are priced at several million as base, with an increment of several million.

So like, say an item is 8mil, starting will be 5mil with a 3mil minimum increment, meaning that by design unless you want to grossly overpay for the item, there will only be one bid. As such, on these it doesn't really matter when you bid as long as you are the first, because nobody will bid after you. If the increment is something more proper, I suggest waiting until its a few minutes from ending, because if you get into a bidding war with someone it will only drive up the price the longer it goes on.

Note I've never really done high price auctions, but that's my philosophy for averaged priced ones, as well as, that I've seen, most transmorg potions are in category number one, so there is no bidding war.

    Anyways my humble opinion.

And I think you're right, we could use an auctions guide of some sort. I tried looking for one but couldn't find it. It looks kinda self explanatory and obvious at first glance, but I'm sure people have methods and strategies for sniping and pricing, and it would be nice to get a sort of intro on it.

  4. Lucky you! I want a new one too. I got a an old nano that has a lot of mileage. I doped it so the screens completely broken and its very dented, it went for a swim in the toilet at some point, and its also completely full now.

But apple doesn't release older versions anymore and I don't like the new ones, so I cant get around to replacing it...

  5. Hmmmm

    Plushies not in my gallery

    and "gothic" looking clothes

or if someone is REALLY rich and generous any draik potion/egg whatever :D

This seems like a really nice idea actually.

    Aw, I love gifting!

My wishlist is very simple. I'm working on training so codestones and faeries are very appreciated. I'm also now working on rubbish so if you have some junk items you're getting rid of then just send them my way. It'll be a very Merry and cheap Christmas gift for me. :P Any cheap stamps or cards are also appreciated because I really don't have any at all.

    Thanks in advance!

Working on SDB avie? I just finished mine yesterday so I can send some things your way.

  6. I've been throwing 20 stones every day for the past two years. I think the game hates me :P I've also been playing Dice-A-Roo every day until my pets bore of it since like October and no luck with it. Neopets just doesn't want me to have any avatars lol.

I know the feeling. Test of strength too. Neopets seems to love random challenges...

  7. I reveal nothing. I don't have a face book account, or anything like that. I always use the same gamertag though, so that's pretty much my online "identity", but there's really only one place on the internet where it can be connected to my real name.

Its not that I'm paranoid, its just i grew up in a computer profession family, and I was very aware of online safety, I guess it just stuck.

I also feel much more comfortable knowing I can control who knows who I am. No reason really, just easier this way.

  8. I do it kinda weird. Generally as soon as I get up and get my PC out of sleep, its one of the first things I do. But I only do the "fun" ones (lab ray, shore, anchor etc. negg cause i like puzzles), and the timed ones like wheels and coltzan so that the timer can reset. Then I leave the more regular ones (read: less exiting prizes) for later.

But I don't have a specific time NST, just when I get up and then when I'm bored.

  9. I like this comparison - but the only problem is half of the first book is no action at all. Haha

Yeah OK no dispute there. I think pretty much the number one thing keeping people from finding out how wonderful these books are is the first half of the first book. Cause its totally not representative of the trilogy as a whole.

(on the other hand, try reading Moby-puppyblew.......)

... nice auto correct, i meant "the whale" basicaly

  10.

I can see how people think they're boring, though. The books are about the world itself as much as the storyline. One could almost become a historian on Middle Earth. :P I read the books in grade 5 and while I enjoyed them, actually quit about 3 chapters from the end of The Return of The King because I had had enough, LOL. I hope to read them again soon, grade 5 was a long time ago.

That's actually true, people say that that the main character in the LotR is the plot, and I tend to agree. Its much more apparent in the books, but the characters don't get explained as well or have their though processes examined as much as in the modern fantasy were used to. Its written almost like a ballad, with focus on their actions rather than motivations.

  11. Wow. You are MUCH luckier at that game than I am. I admit sometimes it does feel like it's rigged. :P I have a two in a row win-streak. lol.

I'm assuming you are going for the win-streak avi, or perhaps both? It can deff be frustrating but if you are playing everyday, then you are well on your way!

    Good luck! :)

Nah I play for np. I don't think I'm gonna get avie anytime soon, its very hard cause it needs uber luck.

I don't play for the NP (my grand total for 3750 games is -10 NP overall) I'm looking for the avvie. Best win streak: 7. I hate how you can get the highest possible score (24) TIE a computer player, then that tie (when you could not possible score any higher) counts as a loss. This game is maddening.

Yeah it does that to me all the time. In case I'm lucky to get 23 they get 24 or 23, I get 24 they get 24- guaranteed.

But I've never actually had a day when I ended with a loss rather than profit.

  12. Everyone's favorite game for making neopoints, except when it hates you.

I play bilge dice every day, usually I spend some time, get my 5k and I'm happy.

At some point though it felt like the game became rigged. I'm serious, not even being paranoid, one day just suddenly it started giving me the WORST rolls for the situation.

Usually I can make it back up again.

Today I managed to get myself to -30k....

So, for those of you who play, what your win streak? And whats your loss streak, that embarrassing amount that you got to by loosing and trying to make it back up?

My win streak is 4 times in a row.

  13. Just ignore Twightlight because I'm not interested in both movies & books. And you?

I have read Harry Porter, like the first book only. I watch movies and understand it just fine. Although there are some scenes with abrupt transitions & don't really make sense :)

Its when you get to book 7 (movie 7/8) it gets really confusing to someone who hasn't read the book. A lot of the convoluted back story gets cut out(I mostly noticed cause i know the books backwards in 2 different languages XD)

  14. Yeah, I have decided to skipped the first one. Not going to give it another try

But I ll watch the 2nd & 3rd movies. Hope I ll change my mind :) Seems like I'm the only one who sleep during LOTR

I didn't find the 1st movie to be bad. But in the book seriously, 300 pages in, and they're still in the shire.

  15. I was okay with the movies - I was rather unenthused about the books. I dunno, I just couldn't get past the first few chapters.

I'm a HUGE Hobbit fan though. It was a book I read growing up, and still continue to read on occassion. I will definitely be going to see The Hobbit in theaters :) But as far as LotR, I'm okay not watching the movies or reading the books. Lawl.

Yeah the problem is with the first book. Its huge, and very slow. The 2nd and 3rd one pick up the pace a lot tough. But yeah it took me like 2 tries to get through the first one too...

I don't know how true this is, but I have heard that Tolkien originally wrote the hobbit because when he submitted the LotR books, nobody wanted to publish them.

  16. Around every 4 or 5 months, I get my full 4 hour extended editions, sit down with my huge unused TV, and marathon for 12 hours straight.

I love Tolkien and LotR. I love the movies, love the books, love the RTS games, all of it.

  17. Very much this & it's still something I'm working on.

Even over here, when posting in such a friendly & laidback environment, I'm still anxious about killing a thread. Whenever I see nobody posting after me, I'd still mentally go thread, don't die D:. Or the few threads I started, I worry that they'd flop miserably with no replies. But I keep telling myself that it's OK, & that well, I've already mapped out the worst case scenarios haha So long as I'm not breaking forum rules, it's all cool :)

(& re-reading after I posted this, this feels so silly & off topic that I want to delete it. Reminder to self: Thick hide)

Don't worry so much about that. If a thread dies and you were the last to post, doesn't mean you killed it, more likely everything just been said that needs to be. Also not all threads have to be super threads with 1000 comments, to a question one reply might be enough and that's okay.

You probably already know all this but i thought id say it anyway. Bedsides posting isn't a popularity contest, don't worry so much about it, its not like your posting to entertain people, you post because its of relevant interest to you.
