Ahh no she was a mouse, I never could quite get the hang of ducks. :) I haven't been active there for a while but it's another one of those places that I keep going back to.

Well since I've been lurk-posting on the threads on Neopets being down I figured I should write an intro.

 

I'm a mum in her early thirties and I've been playing Neopets for just short of eleven years. My old account name was a little ...let's say inappropriate and as a result I spent a lot of time not doing anything that I thought would draw attention to it.. like posting on boards, entering competitions etc etc. (It seemed perfectly fine when I signed up but that was back before the site got quite so kid friendly).

 

Anyhoo, I'm currently not all that well which means I am stuck at home with not a lot to do and I figured it was time to retire my old account and see if it was still possible to play Neopets as a newcomer, so I've taken nothing from my old account and started fresh and I'm having fun and actually spending my np on the stuff I want instead of looking at my bank balance and not wanting to touch it. This makes me habitually poor and also having a whole lot more fun on Neopets than I have in years. :)

 

The name "Miss Murky" comes from one of my toons on ToonTown, a game I also love and found through one of the sponsor games (waaaaay back) on Neopets. It's funny cos it was from there I moved into more, I guess, traditionally adult MMOs none of which I have the concentration for now and so I've come full circle back to Neopets. :) Somehow I can always find *something* to do on Neopets whether I have concentration or just want to do something relatively brainless. I always love the variety here.

 

I'm kinda geeky and I'm also not very good at being sociable and I'm currently working on NQ2 to attempt to outfit my (rather puny) pet with some decent weapons.

Clear the cookies for your browser (if you can) and your session will be gone without needing to log out.

 

The first time I ever logged into Neopets on a library computer it had someone else already logged in. I logged out and noted their username so I could neomail them but it turned out their account was too young to accept neomails so I never did get to tell them. ><

Again whatever it is is having an effect on some of the other Viacom sites...

*grumbles*

At least it's daytime for their tech staff this time I guess.

It's worth noting that the problems are not limited to the Neopets site - if you click through the other Viacom sites in the bar across the top, about half are either having some problems or are totally down at the moment. They've broken something... and broken it very thoroughly. On the plus side it should mean there are lost of worried techs trying to get it all working atm. :)
