Neopets has run their own servers for a long time and only now they have been having problems. Maybe just people are DDOSing Neopets. (DDOS is a type of attack that sends so much traffic to Neopets to make the servers crash)

 

It seems like they would need alot of zombie computers to do that. I would think a multi-national website would have a stable enough server that would allow them to survive most DDOS attacks. Anyway, why would someone DDOS neopets? That doesn't make very much sense. LOL.

I was afraid it was just me. I had my habi running all night and when I went to check on it, it said I wasn't logged in!

 

I was terrified. I used to do naughty bad things on another account, then I got clean and went back to an old account and sent messages to neo telling them what I did and how I did it. Actually, I went onto a certain naughty bad site that shall not be named today to see, and they were talking about getting into the server several times this month. Perhaps the neopets server is just trying to protect itself from naughty bad people.

 

Anyway, I'm hoping the site gets back up soon. I can play Treasure Keepers while I wait, but I need those 5scores per day. I'm poor. Lol. I suppose I should actually do something until it comes back up. :P

Lol, I like Turmac Roll too. I'm terrible at it, but somehow it's interesting. Cute little turmy. I haven't played the others you mentioned in forever, perhaps I should give them a go!

I have been down this road before. I thought I was too old for neo and quit several times. I am 24, married, and a college graduate. The site was initially created for college students if I remember right. The site has since been revamped to be suitable for all ages. Many of my neofriends are older than me and play while they are at work or whatever. It's actually no different than facebook in my opinion. I can chat with my neofriends, play silly games to occupy my time, read interesting stories, and collect pixels.

 

I'm wondering about your laptop. Why is it unable to play flash games? Most modern computers can play flash games. If it is a speed issue, I can bet that you can speed it up enough to play. (Download and run CCleaner, Malwarebytes, and a virus scan). Also, some of the games I enjoy are the php games(solitaire, pyramids, etc) so games aren't 100% out for you.

 

Overall, don't let anyone make you feel self-conscious about it! Also, try not to post that you are on a hiatus if you choose to go on one. And, if you think about it, log on once in awhile(every 90 days or so) so that no nasty hackers mistake your account for inactive and try to steal it. Also, if you have it linked to a hotmail or a yahoo that you don't use regularly, change the email address to gmail or one that you check regularly as that is another way that hackers get your account!

I'm in a bit of a game rut. I need a fun game. I don't care if it doesn't make you 3k a day, what is your favorite game that you like to play? Is it fun? I get really bored and impatient with games that aren't very fun. My income is from stocks, rsing, and habi, so I don't care how much the game makes!

I get upset at the names that are like lkj;lkjh;hoih and 12352343452 or lk14352. If I adopt to zap and repound, I still feel bad for the pet. Who names a pet that? I did name a pet Grundo_slavex882008, but since that's my wedding anniversary, it makes sense for me. :P

I've had terrible luck with Chrome. I couldn't play games. Couldn't click any buttons. Switch to firefox. Just make sure to completely close it now and then since I don't remember if it still has a memory leak.
