I received a Kora at level 98 (also went up to 99 at the same time).

I ended up with 12,408 points, so I'm thinking about picking up both books and then filling out with the lesser random items. Not sure if that's the best strategy.

I submitted my first application for the pet lending chain. However, I realized I might have made a major mistake - my account only has one transfer available. Is that one in and one out (so I could have someone transfer the pet TO me, and then transfer the pet to someone ELSE) in one month, or could I only RECEIVE and then have to transfer the next month? Obviously, this affects whether I should participate in pet lending chains.

I got a secret lab map piece while in the process of beating Terask in NQII. I was pleased by that outcome!

I've been working on mine on and off for years, haha!

It took me about 2 weeks of working hard, although I still haven't won the final battle. I had to take a break for the Altador Cup. Of course, I started my game before I started avatar collecting, so I didn't get the early avatar. As soon as I get my prizes, I have to decide if I'm willing to go on to Evil!

I enjoyed it; it was a nice break from working on NeoQuest. It was just long enough for me to be happy about getting back to NQ now! I'm looking forward to the possible tie breakers and seeing the prize shop opened, rewards handed out, etc.

This was my first AC, so I was very pleased with how Mystery Island did. I wasn't the biggest contributor, and I didn't quite make my All-Star goal, but it was a lot of fun to be on a team that did well. I'm hoping for a fun tie-breaker!

I'm not much of a fan either, so I haven't tried for that one. But given that the lab just zapped my pet into a Skeith, maybe I'll go for it. 204 would be nice!

Are there current calculators for how many points we can expect to get for a given rank? The one I found was from 2008 and is clearly not up to date.

I made it to level 15, now I'm working on level 16. Unfortunately Neopets seems to be fairly up and down for me, which makes it slightly more frustrating. Not sure I need the Altador Cup to be more time consuming than usual!

I'm at level 14, should make level 15 in a few more hours. Not sure how much farther than that I can get, but I'll keep going as long as I can.

I'm going to hit Rank 12 today. I'm shooting for 15, but secretly hoping for All-Star. We'll see how much I can truly push myself to get. The ranks definitely slow down after a while.

Yes, I think it's mostly driven by feeling like it's one of the easier daily avatars. No idea why that idea is stuck in my mind.

Congrats on King Skarl! The dailies avatars are definitely frustrating for me, I've got a bunch that are eluding my every effort. The Forgotten Shore avatar is driving me crazy; coconut shy hasn't hit quite the same level yet.

Repeated shop bans don't lead to being frozen, do they? O.o I wouldn't think you'd need to worry since there's no rule-breaking going on. It's just a pain.

I highly recommend NOT shutting your updates off. You need these to stay protected and also to get important upgrades from Microsoft. If you do not update your computer a crash is inevitable and then you are likely to lose everything. As annoying as the updates are there are ways to work around them.

That's a good warning, although I think it's reasonable to do the updates at a time when it is convenient, as opposed to the 3AM schedule from Microsoft. You can set it to download all the updates, then install them when you're not in the middle of working on something.

Assuming you're on Windows, in your control panel there will be a setting for Windows Update (in Windows 7, it's under system & security). You'll be able to turn automatic updating off there.

I'm currently sitting on 202 avatars right now. I've been working on getting the NQ2 avatars and I finally made it to Ch5, though I've put that on hold for the Altador Cup. Once I hit the required post count, I'm going to try and get in on the pet lending chains.
