My reasons are similar to Neo_Girl's. I have a real affinity for Moltara, so I decided to join them this year. I know that we are pretty much the biggest underdog in the Cup this year, but I don't care. I'm in this to have fun and fight for the team that I'm passionate about and if I can help drive my team to victory than that will make me happy to be a Neopian.

Either they are just that devoted or have nothing better to do with their time and should really consider finding a hobby.

I can play maybe 20 games of YYB a day.

After that I'm just too tired.

Since the Altador Cup officially started today, I figured I go ahead and post this here.

I drew it a few days ago, shortly after signing up.

Opinions are greatly desired as this has a lot of new poses and expressions in it that I hadn't tried prior.

I still don't know what team to choose. I went with the Lost Desert last year, but I think I want to go with something different this year. Help! Someone choose for me. :sad01_anim:

I must admit, I get slightly frustrated seeing predictions with us at the very bottom or close. I think we have lost a lot of our baby fat and will begin to make a name for ourselves in this years cup. Im thinking we will be in Tier 3. With hard work that is! ^_^

I agree entirely. All of the predictions for us to rank dead last or close to it are quite frustrating. Just because we placed 18th last year does not mean that it's going to happen again. We were the newest team last year, of course we weren't going to do outstandingly well! But now I think we're ready for a bounceback. Even if we don't win it all, we're going to make a name for ourselves this year. A name OTHER than "That loser team that placed last in Year 11".

My main goal for this year's cup is getting out of Wooden Shield World, it shouldn't be that hard now that I actually enjoy playing Yooyuball.

I personally love the new Yooyuball, far more than the old one.

The old Yooyuball annoyed and bored me to no end, I could barely bring myself to play it at all and was horrible at it.

The new Yooyuball, however, I find to be far easier, more fun and more enjoyable. Not to mention I'm pretty good at it as well.

The most goals I've been able to get is 11 (compared to the old one, where I could barely get 1) and my best score so far is 0-8.

My main problem right now is the goalie, and I think they should add a feature where you can switch to him manually.

As opposed to the old version, where I royally failed.

Maybe I'll get out of Wooden Shield World this year.

All your accounts have access to the Magma Pool .. it's just each account has a different time .. and I agree with you , knowing which 5 minutes it's open (out of 24 hours) can be quite a hassle unless you get lucky ...

 

No one has figured how to be "well versed" however some one claimed on these boards that reading all Moltara books gives you Magma Pool access ... however no one tested that out yet ...

 

How about you move the pets you want to paint Magma to your side (since you know the time of that one) ... get them into the Pool and then move them back to your main ??

I can't do that since all three of my current pets are painted (Striped, Christmas and Starry) and my side account is less than 4 months old.

Which is why I wanted to know if transferring a Magma pet from my side would give my main account access to the Magma Pool (by that I mean that the Magma Tonu jerk welcomes me).

I have a question about the Magma Pool. On my main account, I cannot figure out the time that the guard is set to be asleep at and thus have no access to it, nor can I figure out how to be "well-versed in the ways of Moltara". (I swear, the set time must be ridiculously early in the morning or some other time when I am not awake. <_< ) However, on my side account, I DO have access to the Magma Pool. My question is, if I transferred a Magma Neopet from my side account to my main, would my main account have access to the Magma Pool?

Just curious.

Am I the only one that not only likes the new Yooyuball controls, but finds them easier?

I've been able to 8 goals several times.

Before, I was lucky if I got 1 goal.

As a loyal supporter of Moltara, I was disappointed to see that there was not yet a support topic for it. Well, now there is one. I think that Moltara can turn their game around this year. After all, once you hit rock bottom, the only way you can go is up! We've got a good team and I really think that we've got a chance to make it to the finals this time 'round!

Though I was an avid supporter of Krawk Island in the previous two Altador Cups that I participated in (III and IV), this year my loyalties lie firmly with Moltara. Fan of the underdog, y'know?

I personally enjoy the new Yooyuball. Quite a lot more than the old one, actually. I often found myself mindlessly bored with the old game, to the point where I could barely bring myself to play it to support my team. However, I've been having a lot of fun with this newer version. I'm better at it and I find it more of a challenge.

I'd rather not see what kinds of atrocious pet names/usernames I thought up when I was 6 years old.), my current one from 2008 is still quite active and I frequent the site almost every day.
