Oh my! So many OLD players! :laughingsmiley: I've been playing for over six years and I really try not to respond with my real age on the boards so I don't get those remarks about 'You're too old, make me a sandwich!'. I'm a mom to a 24 year old daughter and I've been called creepy and other strange names for playing the site, because 'IT'S A KIDS' SITE!!' o_O Since when is having fun gotten an age limit? I'll have fun on any site that appeals to me and neopets has changed since it started..it's been made kid friendly and I still love playing the games. No one is too old to have fun.

Phew! Finished 2 finally tonight (this morning?) and did 3 in hardly any time at all in comparison!

I was working on the 3rd step of the plot (last maze) ALL day yesterday before I found out I just had to get to the upper left corner to Cylara's parents! I was trying to eradicate every single Garoo Elite and kept getting caught. I think I'll use a guide for ALL the parts from now on, 'cause I really frustrated myself for nothing! *smacks self on head!*

I have read the guide, and I'm not being difficult on purpose or trying to get others to do the work for me, believe me.

 

I've done the 1mods, but I can't get further from here. I've tried just putting in different codes to see which combos change into which symbols, but then when I think two symbols add up and make another symbol, then it suddenly doesn't in another set of code and then it's all out of whack.

 

If I have to guess all the way through, I'll never get through it all.

 

It really annoys me, my brain is disturbed because of some medication I've been taking for the last six months and I just can't concentrate on all these symbols and their double and tripple meanings, and I can never remember which combos I've tried and which I haven't. I'm fazing the meds out right now because I've had so many side-effects, but that doesn't really help - now my body has to get use to not taking the meds, too, while I still have the side-effects.

 

*blows a BIG raspberry* that's how I feel right now :P

I didn't have any problem with the 1mods and then when I start the 2mods, I get the combinations right ( my 'result' code to match the 1st symbol of my 'target' code), and I've done every possible combination and I'm still coming up with no message! *sigh* I'm giving up for today, and start again tomorrow with a calmer attitude.. :crying: .

Vista is worth it... if you have a $3,000 computer.

I'm not rich..we had to save up to buy this computer. This Dell Dimension E510 costs us around $1,400 and it's Vista Capable...I just don't want to be stuck with IE7 after the upgrade..($159 from Dell)

I'm on a Mac, how do I make the TAB key switch through all the clickable items on a page???? Like we had to do in the Altador Plot...

Try highlighting a word on the page (above the search area) and then TAB. The clickable elements on the page should show an outline or highlight the clickable stuff. That's what I do and it shows up as a faint dotted line around graphics. I'm not exactly sure how it works with a mac, but it works in Firefox, and Macs can run that can't they?

Actually I've been noticing a lot of glitches and problems with my IE browser ever since I downloaded the toolbar too. I keep getting "Search Myway" errors, its really annoying.

I'm using the Neopets toolbar (I'll admit, only for the Tarla Alerts) and it hasn't caused me any problems ... yet.

:sad01_anim: I also had my browser hijacked once (I can't remember which search service it was) and it prevented me from searching the Internet the way I wanted to. I went to the search bar site and clicked on THEIR terms and conditions and for that program that was the only way to remove it..

You might try going to the "Search Myway" website and checking out their terms and conditions. If you can't remove it that way, I'd try their version of Contact Us. It's worth a shot!

All this doesn't make it easier for hackers does it?! lol can you tell I'm not an IT geek? ;)

Quick question. If I download or install anything in one account,will it turn up on another account on the same PC?

The Neopets toolbar will show up in your browser. It will be there as long as you're using that browser, so if you log-out of one account and go to one of your side accounts, the Neopets Toolbar is STILL in your browser. You can use it for ALL of your accounts with no problem, but you're not supposed to collect more than ONE free gift from Tarla Alerts!

In other words, ALL of your accounts will have access to the Neopets Toolbar. Unlike the Neopets Premium Service (which gives you access to those benefits on only ONE account) you should feel free to utilize the Neopets Toolbar on every account.. :yes:

Firefox has just been updated automacially to Firefox 2 (thats what it said when i logged on)

 

But every time i go to send a Neomail or use a Search bar a message came up stated that the information is going across a unecrypted thing and can be read by a third party

 

The message never appeared for Firefox 1 so is there any way to encrypt it or is this perfectly normal

I don't have the same problem that you did, but since I've upgraded to Firefox 2.0 I have a problem with Neopets. A small problem but it irritates me to no end.

When I go to my inventory and click on an item, the little window pops up (like it's supposed to) but when I click on another item (without closing the little pop up) the window is down on the toolbar. It USED to pop up and now I have to click the toolbar to reclaim that window or constantly click on 'Close and Refresh'

Is this happening to anyone else? I can't figure out how prevent that pop-up window from dropping to the toolbar.. :grrr:

I watch Cable TV, Record, Pause and Rewind Cable TV all while watching another channel on my monitor - full screen or small screen while using the internet..also with Remote Control..it's nice.

Have you just tried typing in Firefox Add-ons into your google search bar? Then you'll just get all the pages that you can download Adblock. Firefox Add-ons

A wise reccomendation is to download Mozilla Firefox and an extension called Adblock.

Thanks for the heads up! I've been using Mozilla Firefox with Adblock and *crosses fingers* I haven't had a virus or trojan since... Also, I'm using AVG Free :medieval: (Grisoft product) as my virus protection and so far, so good.

Does this affect mac computers as well? Thanks

I'm thinking that Mac Users wouldn't be vulnerable to these virus/trojan programs. Most of them are written for the PC, and Macs usually are very safe when it concerns viruses. I don't have a Mac, so if someone is sure of the answer, I'm sure they'll post.
