  1. Finally got the score. I don't find this game easy AT ALL. I am bad at these aim games. This makes it three now right? The bulleye, faerie bubble, and now this.

I was just whining about this very thing (I HATE that bullseye game). No matter how fabulous the guides are, you still have to be coordinated to aim the silly thing. After about six tries I managed to beat Abigail... that's as close to triumph as it's going to get!

  2. Haha umm, just to clarify, I haven't posted on this board, so each time you said my name, I believe you meant Cornflakes.

Yes I did. I'm so sorry... my only excuse is that I just finished the SDB avatar and my eyes are permanently crossed.

  3. I'm clearly not seeing what everyone else is seeing here (must have something to do with the glitch I just whined about on the Snowager board). When I look at the winner, I see half of two different pets with a blank black box in the middle and everything else surrounded in black. If I hover over I can see the drop down menus, but that's about it. So from where I sit, Spritzie's right, most 11-year-olds can do better... but I have a feeling I'm missing quite a few pieces. By contrast, the one Spritzie linked as being a deserving winner looks absolutely stunning to me, so points to him for coding something fabulous that shows up properly on ancient pieces of junk.

  4. I'm used to weird glitches on my ancient computer, but this one is too bizarre. I've tried playing this game several times now. When I hit a drop-the-loot powerup or an extra life, it works. When I hit an extra icy blast or a score multiplier, it doesn't. When I asked my know-it-all friend why I have no exp bar or friends list in Habitarium (but I get exp the same way everyone else does), he said my video card/graphics processor just ignores commands it's too feeble to understand (and a lot of other stuff I'm too feeble to understand too). Does that sound feasible to anyone? Why would some powerups work and others fail on the same game? I finished the game and still only got 150000 points because the @#$! score multipliers don't register. The obvious solution for beating AAA is to play on another computer somewhere else (work comes to mind), but I'd love to know exactly what the problem really is and if there's a cheapish fix for it. There must be some experts around here...!

  5. Holy Kauvara... 12 hours of meepits? I already need therapy for meepit trauma!

Thanks for the link, Spritzie (I love that you did yours at work). I never would have remembered about the reset at 12:40 a.m. NST so I'm really glad I read that.

You're right, Ines, I'm going to need a dedicated meepit day! I know I can't stare at meepits for 12 hours, but I can feed 10 meepits at a time 35 times in 24 hours... I think. I'll just leave my habitarium running and count the nps I rack up while I suffer from meepit overload.

I'm totally going to do this. I will triumph over the meepits!

  6. I cannot score 3000 on MJB and I'm beginning to have meepit nightmares. Does anyone know whether the avatar is available in zen mode? Please be absolutely positive if you say yes... I don't want to feed 3500 meepits the hard way and find out it isn't! But if it is, what the heck, it won't take longer than I've spent trying already.

  7. I had this problem several times too! It actually matters in which order you connect the stars before you submit. First, erase your lines (you have to erase one star, put it back, erase the next, ugh). Then look at the constellation finder and connect the stars to each other (to match the pattern) in the order that they're listed in the constellation finder, even when another line would make more sense. Then resubmit, and you should "discover" the new one. Good luck!

  8. I can vouch for the Habitarium, mine is making me a pile. It's really not that time-consuming; it goes very fast if you can leave a browser window open and just check on it every couple of hours.

Other than that, I'm not a big gamer either (no patience, and I stink at them), but in the course of going for the gamer avatar I've found a few I can get the full 1000 nps on every time and I play those three times a day, and usually do the game of the day for double nps even if I'm no good at it. I'm sure you can find a few you can play pretty quickly for maximum nps (I really like Hasee Bounce, very fast and pretty easy). And I buy stocks every day... you do have to wait for them to go up, but after you've got a decent portfolio something is doubled almost every day.

For real money fast, though, I'd totally go for the Habitarium. I haven't even tried the key quest, but now that I've read all of these responses I think I will!

  9. Are you still collecting this data, Allan? What's the deadline? It sounds like a fascinating study. I don't own a television and only watch tv on my computer, but I can imagine instances in which I might watch it on my phone... if you're still working on this study, I'll neomail you my answers.

  10. This thread made me laugh. All of those things are annoying!

People who stand in doorways make me crazy. I've started taking pictures of them with my phone, and it's amazing how many of them actually seem to take the hint! My favourite one so far is of two women with prams having a conversation with each other in such an artful arrangement that both prams were completely blocking a shop door. You can see people on both sides just standing there staring at them, because they're too polite to say "Hello, it's a doorway, MOVE!"

Runners-up are people who suddenly stop in a moving crowd (bonus points for doing this on the stairs at the train station), and people who approach a buffet table, get their food, and then stand there in front of the table eating it so no one else can get any. Or how about people who want to have a chat with the shop clerk about everything that's happened since 1915 and then show off photos of their grandchildren when there are ten people behind them waiting to be served?

I guess my pet peeve is just people who live in a universe of one. Must be nice... but we're a little overpopulated for that.

  11. Avaldo, I had the same problem. The TDN plot guide rocks, but that one part didn't work for me either.

There's an alternate version of the guide posted by Candy_Fire or something similar (now that I'm here I can't look!), it's the third pinned topic from the top on this board. That worked for me the very first time (after countless tries!), with the single exception that I had to check on the Vaeolus one more time at :50 -- then the Skeith magically appeared! Waiting the extra few seconds each time seemed to compensate for browser lag. The other thing I think may have helped a great deal was doing the Vaeolus quest using Firefox with Adblock Plus -- no more waiting and lagging while the Neopets ads were trying to load. If you have an older computer you might try that as well.

Good luck, if I can do it, anyone can!
