  1. Well, you can send some junk to me if you still need the achievement. I'm with the thieves.

    Ah, sorry, I should have edited my reply sooner, someone from the wizards has already added me and I've sent them an item, got the achievement now. Thank you kindly, anyway!

  2. Adina, you could use jade elixirs and/or thick smoke bombs (1-use full healer and full blocker, respectively) to help you beat each of them once for the first achievement. It would probably cost you ~150k if you had to use both for each battle, but you might get by with just one or the other (so maybe 50-75k). (And that's based on yesterday's prices; I think they've dropped today because mine stopped selling.) If you have a freezer, you could wait until your freezer works to help ensure that you don't waste too many of them.

    And I'm a Seeker, too, so sending me something won't help you.

    It's alright, I'll wait for someone from another faction, if it's not too much bother.

    And thank you very much for the advice! I'll give it a try, not too sure I'll be able to knock off enough of their HP, to be honest, but it's still worth a shot. So yeah. Thanks! :)

    EDIT: Yes, I know the second achievement means that I have to send something, I just don't know who to send something to. And also stating my faction in case somebody else needs to get the achievement.

  3. Oof. I've managed everything until this wave quite well with just 140 HP, level 51, Ylana's Blaster, Hanso's Charisma Charm, Downsize and a Blue Scorchstone, and Static Cling and Lens Flare. But I'm completely useless against the new wave. Can't manage a single one of the faction leaders, they just finish me off immediately in the second round. And I've tried using muffins, but it still doesn't help. Don't know what else to do, and I certainly can't start investing in a shield or some other form of protection right now, the prices are huge. Guess this is where the fighting ends for me. Sigh.

    Still, there's the second achievement. Anyone want to throw some junk my way and then I'll send it right back? I'm with the Seekers.

  4. I think it's a lovely idea, especially since we've had the Baby PB for ages. It's got loads of details and gives more actual depth to a Neopet, character-wise I mean. You can come up with various stories for your pet, and customising them will probably be fun. Now I can hardly wait to paint my Tuskaninny Elderly and pretend he's an almighty, ancient wizard!

    Those Ogrins look cute, but I think ALL the species will be cute/quirky/interesting in this colour. I don't get why some people think it should be a prank or that it's the worst/silliest colour for TNT to come up with... I mean, in my opinion, the Eventide PB is as ugly and stupid as can be and makes no sense at all, but, oh well. I guess that's how different tastes work. :)

  5. This is dumb. I don't even have NC Mall access, but this really doesn't sound like a perk to me. And also, I agree with what flyingeevee said a few comments above, TNT really ought to work more on the normal neo clothes that still aren't wearable. I remember they even had that poll a while back, about which item we would like to see converted to a wearable next, and the Fur Lined Cape (or something like that) won, that was pretty interesting, why can't they do that again?! Are they really running low on money or what?!

  6. So many people here say that they were happy the Neggbreaker was easy to beat because they didn't have trained pets, but really now, wouldn't it be really better if everyone had one pet trained for the Battledome? Because, for example, plots will almost always have a BD step (just think of the Wraiths in the Faeries' Ruins plot, since that one's recent), what are you people going to do then? Don't take me wrong, I'm saying this as an advice, so I apologize if it sounds harsh or anything. :)

    Anyway. I'm a bit disappointed with this step since there really was NO challenge at all, but it was still fun! Hopefully we'll get some spiffy prizes soon!

  7. Also, to those who don't understand the puzzle, don't forget first of all to match your scroll to the symbol shown at the top of the Mysterious Negg! I know it's been said before, but better safe than sorry!

    Sweet, got it done in less than five minutes, I wish we had more puzzles like this! :D

  8. I got a Sinsis Puzzle Book, Brightvale's Brightest (book again) and a lovely background with nighttime in Brightvale. :) I did have a gold check, because I made a guess on the first day, but the first time I guessed Rutu - Shenkuu was two or three days ago - in any case, very late. What did you guys earn?

    (and we've still got two events to go in the whole Mysterious Negg thing, right?)

  9. As I said, I'll also stick with Rutu and Shenkuu for now, but I still think TNT were sloppy with the details. :P

    Can't make heads or tails of the chart if Rutu didn't go to Shenkuu, or maybe I'm getting too tired of it; anyway, I'll leave it at that for now.

    To be more specific, what I've got right now is:

    Hurok - Knight - Glass Negg - Brightvale (still can't agree with it, but, there you have it);

    Selvin - Wizard - Plant Negg - Kiko Lake;

    Rutu - 5th job - Clockwork Negg - Shenkuu;

    Vough - Explorer - Cloud Negg - Altador;

    Ricky - Blacksmith - Sand Negg - Lost Desert.

  10. Ah, I see. I didn't get that part, thanks.

    Or perhaps Rutu was picked, and the person simply got them mixed up....

    Thanks for clearing up some points. Either way, I'm going to continue with Rutu unless I get definite proof it isn't.

    Honestly, I think I'm going to go with Rutu as well for the time being. I'll also try to make a chart with Rutu not going to Shenkuu at all, just like Karina, and see what comes out of that. But, just out of curiosity, did ANYONE at all read my explanation why Rutu can't be anything except for Knight or Explorer a few pages back, apart from supersilentt who first gave me the idea?! I'd just like to hear another outside opinion on the matter...

  11. why can't rutu be the unkown class?

    I've already explained it a few pages back... After reading the entries, in order, we can conclude that: Selvin is the wizard; Voughn has the Cloud Negg, therefore he can't be Blacksmith; he is neither Wizard; he can't be Knight because the Knight says he doesn't want to carry the Clockwork Negg AFTER Voughn has already chosen the Cloud Negg; he can't be Explorer because of the same reasons (he's already chosen the Cloud Negg from the beggining, and so doesn't need to refuse again in entry 9), hence he is the unknown class. Hurok is not Wizard, he is not Explorer because he refuses to carry the Clockwork Negg at the same time as the Explorer does (entry 9); also, the Knight has already said in entry 5 that he doesn't want to carry the Negg, therefore WHY should Hurok be asked now, in entry 9, if he wants to transport the Clockwork Negg, only to refuse AGAIN? Logically, it should mean he is not Knight either. The 5th job is taken by Voughn, so Hurok can only be Blacksmith. Which leaves Ricky and Rutu with the classes Knight and Explorer, and it doesn't really matter which is which, because BOTH have already refused to carry the Clockwork Negg.

    That's why I said Rutu can't be the 5th job/unnamed class/whatever.

    HOWEVER, if we let Hurok be Knight and admit he repeats himself when saying he doesn't want to carry the Clockwork Negg in entry 9, Rutu can very well have the 5th job, carry the Clockwork Negg to Shenkuu and live happily ever after, but as far as I'm concerned, this would mean TNT did a very sloppy job and didn't care much for continuity. I'm not saying it's not possible (in fact, I'm starting to believe it's the only possible solution), but it was stupid of them and they didn't really think it through in terms of characters, dialogue, stuff like that.

    Also, it could be that Rutu didn't go to Shenkuu at all. But that's rather improbable.

  12. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's Rutu-Shenkuu

    Rutu went to Shenkuu. (5)

    Out of the 5 possible neggs:

    Cloud belongs to Voughn (2)

    Glass went to Brightvale (8)

    Sand belongs to the Blacksmith, who is NOT Rutu (11)

    Plant went to Kiko Lake (14)

    Only one that is not ruled out is the clockwork!

    I think the main problem right now is wether Rutu actually went to Shenkuu, after all.

    Apparently, there were two volunteers for Shenkuu, Rutu and the neopet with the comment about stargazing. If you choose to consider that statement as referring to Altador, very well, but there's also the fact that in entry 12, someone calls out after Rutu (thinking he is the blacksmith) to talk to him about delivering the Sand Negg, when in the entry BEFORE this, it was already decided who will carry the Clockwork Negg (entry 9).

    Now, logically speaking, wouldn't that mean that neither Rutu, nor the unnamed blacksmith didn't get picked to carry the Clockwork Negg? Unless TNT throws continuity and common sense out the window...

    EDIT: also, I already explained a few pages ago that, if continuity and chronological order MATTER, as they should, Rutu HAS to be a Knight or a Explorer, and both jobs have already refused to carry the Clockwork Negg.

    EDIT2: Okay, well. This is stupid. I re-did the chart and indeed it appears Rutu is carrying the Clockwork Negg to Shenkuu, BUT HE IS EITHER A KNIGHT OR A EXPLORER. Now how does that work?!

  13. Thanks for reading my mind, i was affected by the language barrier :)

    :) Well, thank you for explaining in the first place, it's very logical once you think about it and yet it never crossed my mind to consider things in their chronological order. So, thank you!

    Also, @Mireia: try to make a little chart, you'll see that the only possible location for Hurok the Blacksmith is Lost Desert.

  14. As far as I know, Hurok might be the blacksmith or the unknown class. But I don't understand why Ricky and Rutu can only be Knight or explorer.

    with the information we have, Rutu can be, Knight, explorer and unkown class, and Ricky anything but wizard...

    @Mireia: Not really, supersilentt's idea is to take it chronologically;

    basically, after the first entry (entry 2), we know that Selvin is the Wizard. We also know that Voughn opts for the Cloud Negg.

    After entry 5, we know that Rutu wants to go to Shenkuu. We find out that the Knight doesn't want to transport the Clockwork Negg, so it couldn't possibly be Voughn because he has already made his choice (the Cloud Negg), ergo he doesn't have any reason to be taken into consideration for the Clockwork Negg.

    After entry 8, we find out that someone carries the Glass Negg to Brightvale, job unspecified for now, but we know it's not the Wizard, who doesn't want to go to Brightvale, nor to Lost Desert.

    After entry 9, Hurok refuses to transport the Clockwork Negg - this is the only part where I'm not exactly sure of supersilentt's reasoning; as far as I understand, he says that the fact that the Knight refused to carry the Clockwork Negg back in entry 2 automatically means that Hurok isn't the Knight, since he is being asked by the group yet again if he wants to transport the Clockwork Negg. Which he doesn't. Neither wants the explorer. So, Hurok is not the explorer. Voughn isn't the explorer either because he's already chosen the Cloud Negg back in entry 2.

    After entry 12, we learn that Rutu is not the Blacksmith. The Blacksmith has to transport the Sand Negg; doesn't want to go to Altador on account that he gets sea-sick.

    Conclusion: Selvin is the Wizard. Voughn has the Cloud Negg, therefore he isn't Blacksmith; he is not the Knight or the Explorer because he chose the Cloud Negg right from the start, which puts him out of the whole 'who-will-carry-the-clockwork-negg' discussion. Because the Wizard job is already taken (Selvin), it can only mean that Voughn is the 5th, unnamed job (I'm betting on Astronomer, but, meh). Hurok refuses to transport the Clockwork Negg after the discussion about how the Knight doesn't want to (which means he isn't the Knight, else he would be repeating himself) and at the same time as the Explorer refuses to because he can't stand the sound, which means Hurok is neither the Explorer, nor the Knight. Since Wizard and 5th job are taken, it means Hurok is the Blacksmith and has the Sand Negg. Rutu and Ricky are left as the Explorer and the Knight, but it doesn't matter who's who, because both jobs refuse to transport the Clockwork Negg. In short, Selvin has the Clockwork Negg.

    Consulting my spreadsheet versions, it adds up nicely, but I'm STILL left with the question: Altador or Kiko Lake? Because these two locations apparently can be taken by either Selvin or Voughn. I should think that if the Astronomer-theory is true, Selvin has to carry the Clockwork Negg to Kiko Lake, but I can't be sure.

    Sorry for the long post!

  15. Whenever the CW negg is somehow negated chronologically.

    For example,

    VOUGHN picks the CLOUD EGG at ENTRY 2.

    the KNIGHT refused the CW NEGG at ENTRY 5. (we know its not voughn because he already picked a negg and wouldn't need to refuse)

    HUROK refused the CW NEGG at ENTRY 9. (IF hurok was the knight, which he's not, this would be a double refusal)

    the EXPLORER refused the CW NEGG at ENTRY 9 (so we know it's someone else but hurok, but not voughn for the same reason of the knight class)

    Oh, I see, and it does make things a lot easier, thinking about their choices chronologically, but I still don't understand why Hurok can't be the knight, even if it does mean he would refuse the clockwork negg twice - wouldn't that just strengthen his refusal? Other than that, I agree that your logic is quick and objective. Still can't say for sure if it's Kiko Lake or Altador, though.

    EDIT: I mean, it makes sense that Voughn isn't the knight since he PREVIOUSLY stated that he'd take other negg and so there's no need for him to state that he doesn't want the clockwork negg AGAIN. However, if the knight says on entry 5 that he refuses to take the clockwork negg, does that automatically out-rule Hurok as the knight when he says that he doesn't like how the negg looks?

  16. THE LOGIC:

    HUROK is not the KNIGHT (double refuse); EXPLORER (double refuse) nor WIZARD (selvin);

    therefore, HUROK is BLACKSMITH or UNKNOWN;

    VOUGHN is not KNIGHT (double refuse) or EXPLORER (double refuse), neither WIZARD (selvin);

    BLACKSMITH has the SAND negg.

    VOUGHN is not the BLACKSMITH (because he has the cloud negg);

    VOUGHN is the UNKNOWN;

    HUROK is the BLACKSMITH;

    SELVIN is the WIZARD;

    Then...

    RICKY and RUTU are KNIGHT/EXPLORER;

    RICKY and RUTU won't ever carry the CLOCKWORK negg (since both classes refused to);

    SELVIN carries the CLOCKWORK negg.

    This might sound silly, but what do you mean by 'double refuse'?

  17. I see people didn't get convinced by my statement that it is impossible for RUTU to carry the CLOCKWORK negg :/

    I'd be very eager to believe you if you had something to back up your statement. Mind explaining, please?

    Also, for Saxen, since I remember the two of us were convinced that it's either Ricky or Hurok in Lost Desert: if you complete your spreadsheet with the information now available, you'll see that, if you want to make Ricky carry the clockwork negg, Voughn would end up as the Blacksmith, hence meaning that he would carry the sand negg, when we know that Voughn intends to carry the cloud negg. And Hurok said in yesterday's entry that he doesn't want to carry the clockwork negg.

  18. So I went and did all versions of the spreadsheet that I could with the information we now have; in the end, it's true that the only real choices are Selvin - Kiko Lake, Selvin - Altador or Rutu - Shenkuu. Here are all the versions that I could figure out, if I've left any out, do be kind enough to let me know, please.

    1.

    Hurok - Brightvale - Glass negg - Knight

    Selvin - Kiko Lake - Clockwork negg - Wizard

    Rutu - Shenkuu - 5th negg - Explorer

    Voughn - Altador - Cloud negg - 5th job

    Ricky - Lost Desert - Sand negg - Blacksmith

    with a slightly different version:

    Hurok - Lost Desert - Sand negg - Blacksmith

    Selvin - Kiko Lake - Clockwork negg - Wizard

    Rutu - Shenkuu - 5th negg - Knight OR Explorer

    Voughn - Altador - Cloud negg - 5th job

    Ricky - Brightvale - Glass negg - Explorer OR Knight

    2.

    Hurok - Lost Desert - Sand negg - Blacksmith

    Selvin - Altador - Clockwork negg - Wizard

    Rutu - Shenkuu - 5th negg - Knight OR Explorer OR 5th job

    Voughn - Kiko Lake - Cloud negg - Explorer OR Knight OR 5th job

    Ricky - Brightvale - Glass negg - 5th job OR Explorer OR Knight

    3.

    Hurok - Lost Desert - Sand negg - Blacksmith

    Selvin - Kiko Lake - 5th negg - Wizard

    Rutu - Shenkuu - Clockwork negg - 5th job

    Voughn - Altador - Cloud negg - Knight OR Explorer

    Ricky - Brightvale - Glass negg - Explorer OR Knight

    with version:

    Hurok - Lost Desert - Sand negg - Blacksmith

    Selvin - Altador - 5th negg - Wizard

    Rutu - Shenkuu - Clockwork negg - 5th job

    Voughn - Kiko Lake - Cloud negg - Explorer OR Knight

    Ricky - Brightvale - Glass negg - Knight OR Explorer

    4. (slight version of 3)

    Hurok - Brightvale - Glass negg - Knight

    Selvin - Altador OR Kiko Lake - 5th negg - Wizard

    Rutu - Shenkuu - Clockwork negg - 5th job

    Voughn - Lost Desert OR Kiko Lake OR Altador - Cloud negg - Explorer

    Ricky - Kiko Lake OR Lost Desert OR Altador - Sand negg - Blacksmith

    Aaand, that is all, I think. It's mostly a lucky guess, now, though if you find any reason why one of the above wouldn't work, I'd love to hear it. Anyway, I for one am not going to get a good prize, seeing as my original answer was Ricky - Lost Desert and I haven't changed it till now. *sigh*

  19. Here's what i think...... We are a huge number of people and there are way more on neoboards. Lots of you seem really intelligant, and yet nobody has said difinatively " this is the correct answer" So either we are not smart at all or there is not enough info to complete this logically. In which case our answers need to be partly based on supposition or guesswork

    I think no one has given a definitive answer yet because either: a) no one has finished ALL versions of their spreadsheet, including each and every possibility, trying to figure out which contradict themselves and so are out of the question; or b )they don't want to say. Simple as that.

    Personally, I wouldn't hang around too much around the neoboards; I don't want to call out names, but I've seen quite a lot of, uh... UN-intelligence over there and much too many biased assumptions for my taste. If that sounds very mean, I apologize in advance.

  20. I got the feeling that Rutu volunteers to go to Shenkuu because he has never gone there and would like to see the place - however, now I think that it is possible that Rutu DIDN'T go to Shenkuu at all; instead, the other neopet, with his remark about stargazing, is the one who went to Shenkuu, and NOT to Altador, mostly because by the last entry, entry 12, Rutu and Altador are both still 'unoccupied', so to speak. It's just a theory, though.

  21. I just want to know if anyone else sees this the way I do...

    In entry 9, the decision as to who would be transporting the Clockwork Negg is decided. That's that.

    In the entry after, Rutu is mentioned, although mistakenly, as well as Altador.

    Meaning that before entry 12, those two (Rutu/Altador) haven't been chosen/claimed. Yes? Yes? No?

    Theoretically, yes, it would mean that Rutu hadn't yet chosen a negg/location, and Altador hasn't been claimed yet. However, I'm not sure wether TNT are paying that much attention to continuity...

    Also, @ClatoEverlark: ... What? XD Sorry, I don't understand your question.

  22. My spreadsheet shows that, for the JOBS x NEGGS part, the Clockwork Negg is only available for the Wizard or the fifth unknown job (which I supposed was Astronomer), because both the Knight and the Explorer said that they don't want to carry the clockwork negg, and the Blacksmith has to carry the sand one.

    Now, problem is that for Selvin I'm still not sure if he goes to Altador or to Kiko Lake. I'm also starting to doubt that the fifth job is astronomer, because these past few days most of us had supposed that Voughn was the astronomer, carrying the Cloud negg to Altador. That would leave Selvin carrying the clockwork negg to Kiko Lake as being the ONLY choice, but now I'm not so sure about Voughn. Maybe that fifth job is something completely different, maybe Rutu doesn't even go to Shenkuu and that line about stargazing in entry 5 means someone else was also interested in Shenkuu...

    EDIT:

    @ClatoEverlark: THE EXPLORER DOES NOT HAVE THE CLOCKWORK NEGG, I've already mentioned it two posts above, raoukie must have misread entry 9.
