I beat AAA first time up. I feel so good at Faerie Bubbles even though I'd never played it before in my life. Heh. And my score sent, I feel so fortunate. On with the rest of my evening.

Mmmm, taco's. I think I decided what my wife and I are having for lunch tomorrow. Yay taco's.

 

As to volunteering, I encourage it. I'm trying to find the motivation to go volunteer, but it's been eluding me for two weeks now. It's usually fun to go tutor little kids but I've been so far down in the dumps lately I don't even want to leave my house, even if it were on fire. (It hasn't been on fire, thank goodness, but if it was on fire you'd be hard pressed to get me to leave.)

Thank goodness for TDN Forums! I had to go to work early today so I didn't get a chance to scope out the Daily Dare competition. I've never played Faerie Bubbles, but it sounds like a game I'm familiar with, so beating the score shouldn't be too hard. Plus with these bonus codes it should be a cinch, right?

 

I just wish the prizes would get better. Let's get some awesome stamps or something! Heh!

Took me a solid 20 minutes but I slowly made progress and beat AAA's score. One tip I found is the Faerie Yooyou powerup is usually a trap ::cue's Admiral Ackbar:: because you'll probably die shortly thereafter from a wall of enemies. So I avoid getting it, no matter how many goodie bags they tempt me with. The spikey yooyou ball though is a solid powerup and lets you kill all the badies. Die badies, die!

So as I read that, if I beat AAA's score for each challenge sometime before the end of the month, I'll get a gold trophy? And my bonus prize is the satisfaction and extra bonus prizes for beating AAA on launch day?

 

I'm going to go with a dislike on the simplified trophies. I'll probably end up with Silver anyways.

Do they have the criteria for the new trophies? I'm at work so I can't go and check to see for myself, I'm going to have to rely on you all.

 

Otherwise I was looking forward to trying to get the Uberrific Spifftastic Spasmatic Best Trophy, and probably failing and just getting the participation medal. Ugh.

I hope they don't have a challenge for Zurroball. That game is so worthless it's ridiculous. I doubt I'd be able to beat Abagail's score if they have a Zurroball challenge.

You can do it Spritzie! I had the same problem, but once you get through the 5th level, you pretty much just have to get it anywhere in the yellow/almost yellow range to get the last hundred and fifty points or so, at least I did. I can't wait for tomorrow's challenge already!

I had a bout of major depression that landed me in the hospital and six months later was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. I've had better (and worse) years.

I like the Stock Market. It's not a bad way to earn NP even if you have little to no idea what you're doing. I usually forget to buy my 1000 shares every day, but slowly but surely I'm making my way up to a million neopoints in there to get the avatar. Should have it by the end of the week unless some stocks take a tumble.

 

I've also been having fun with Food Club lately. I hit a 48:1 yesterday which put me in the green, so I've officially made neopoints on it. I also recommend the Habitarium for making some semi-quick decent neopoints.

I use TDN Forums mostly while I'm at work. I lurk so I can get my NP addiction 'fix' while at work. Sometime I strategize what I'm going to do tonight. It's trophy time so I'll try and get a high score or two. My goal is to get one new trophy tonight!

What platform do you play on? I'm on XBOX Live myself. What kind of game types do you usually play? I prefer Core Domination. I'm not the world's greatest player, but I usually do pretty well and usually have fun doing it!

Challenged AAA and beat him. Took me 20 minutes straight of trying. I kept getting close then a stupid bug would throw me off, or the bar would either speedup or slowdown or at one point it was just hopping randomly like the game was lagging. It was very obnoxious. But, I got the fugly background. I'm not a background person, and would have preferred the book. At least it's a free item towards the Pack Rat Avatar!

 

On a side note, was I the only one that is uber-excited for the Daily Dare? I've never played one before because it first came out during my hiatus, but I loved the Game Master Challenges and I love plots and stuff, so this is a hoot.

I have a completed map on my old account. This was years and years ago before the prices were ridiculous. I think back then complete map sets were selling from 100k-250k, tops. But that's just me putting on my old-timer hat.

 

I personally have no interest in completing a secret lab map on my new account. I don't think the gamble is worth it, and I hate getting ugly pet colours/species changes. I also hate the gender changes.

 

Though it is the only reason I have a Darigan Lupe on the lab account. It also made my stats so far out of whack I gave up trying to balance them out so I could use the Mystery Island Training School. While there is a net gain for stats, they tend to be imbalancing and it can be hard if not impossible to keep your pet in a trainable status. But this is just my experience with it.

 

It is probably faster than the training school, and in the long run cheaper, though.

Ugh. Today seems to be one of those "get-home-from-school-and-stuff-your-face-with-biscuits" days. :guiltysmiley:

 

Yesterday was a "stay-at-home-and-stuff-your-face-with-chocolate" kind of days. Now I feel like my pants are bursting at the seams. I miss my crazy-metabolism from college.

 

Today is not shaping up to be much better. Ugh.

I highly recommend playing Keyquest. Even silver keys give you a shot at free Neggs and Codestones, good for training or selling in your shop. That's the best tip/trick that I can offer. Also, playing Flash Games is a great way to earn NP as well. You can do just about anything you want with enough NP's!

kxjenn, I'm with you on this one. Though I'm filled with anticipation to do so as I cannot do this at my work computer and it must wait for tonight! I'm glad TDN is helping tide my excitement for the official Daily Dare and ultimately the Altador Cup with their own plots/subplots! Woo hoo!

Concur with the sentiments about the Carmariller. I still like Maractite, so the Noil is pretty neat. Not a tremendous fan of morphing potions as it is, mostly because I'm jealous that I'll never be able to get one from a shop to restock like the elite restockers.

You know the few times that I've been to Seattle, it has never rained, not that I'm complaining but I felt a little bit jipped out of the experience.

 

It's usually a nice drizzle, though I do prefer the really hard summer rains of the Midwest. I also really love it when it's overcast. If you've ever watched Twilight, I want it to be like that all the time. Maybe I'm a creepy vampire who just doesn't suck blood or sparkle in the sunlight or whatever. Or I just don't like sunlight, one of the two.

Congrats to the other BTY winners! Also, I went to level 12 or something to get my score, without reusing the first few levels. Hadn't thought of that, just didn't seem like extra lives were really getting spit out that much.

 

Currently I'm practicing my Deckball skills because I want the trophy and I'm super excited for the Altador Cup this summer and I figure Deckball is as close to YooYooball as we can get right now. Heh! I'm pathetic.

 

As to the weather, it's pretty chilly here in San Diego. I miss the winter and blizzards, and rain. It doesn't rain often here and I'm happy when it does. I need to move to Seattle so I can be happy all the time when it rains.

This would be immensely useful, kind of like the Avatar Checklist that TDN has? If I knew anything about coding I might adopt it as a pet project.

Congrats on beating the Better Than You! I did so the first night it came out on my first try. I just kept going in a loop and tried not to go out of my way and let the little chia guy come to me. Worked pretty slick. My wife kept nagging me to go do something and I kept telling her "I gotta get my points for this! Just a few more minutes!" I think it took half an hour or so.

 

Is there a Better Than You Avatar that I recieved? I don't recall it being awarded, maybe it was done at the same time as the silly petpet paintbrush and the trophy?

Some great sites on this thread, just had to chime in. I sit at work and (now) lurk on these forums all day with nothing to do. Also, I love cats and must say they can usually take a pretty good beating and be fine. But I'm glad your cats are fine and I hope you're feeling better!

Welcome to TDN SWO wannabe! (What exactly is a Surface Warfare Officer? >.< I'm terrible with such stuff.) Nice to see you introducing yourself after lurking around :P.

 

10.5 years is quite a long time o_O;;. That said, I was a seriously casual NPer since then but only got more 'addicted' to it in the last 2-3 years or so. Age does that to you xD. Isn't the workload quite heavy in the Navy? o_O I'm just surprised you have time to Neopet xD.

It can be if you're on a ship. A Surface Warfare Officer is an officer designator (i.e. job) for those who specialize in surface ships, so frigates, destroyers, cruisers, and amphibious assault ships. As opposed to submariners and aviators. Basically we're the guys that drive the ships and shoot the guns and missiles. Right now I'm not on a ship, hence the forever a wannabe. Heh.

Hey everyone! I figured it was about time I introduce myself more formally, you may have noticed me posting on other threads lately.

 

I am The SWO Wannabe (SWO is an acronym for Surface Warfare Officer) and as my name states I wannabe a SWO. Unfortunately that will never happen, so my name is good for all of eternity.

 

I'm 25 years old and have technically been playing NP For 10.5 years, starting in June of 2000. I've taken numerous hiatusi and breaks, and am only recently back into the swing of things and having plenty of fun starting from scratch. I enjoy playing some flash games, training my pet, and amassing a fortune in neopoints. I'm also really into stamp collecting and somewhat into avatar collecting.

 

I'm currently in the Navy stationed in San Diego with my wife and dog, and she entertains my 'addiction' to NP.
