What kind of things are you interested in? I saw you have some customization on your pets, all the floating faerie dolls are super cute! I've never seen someone line them up on their pets like that - it looks really neat on your ul ^_^

No kidding - I started NeoPets in 2001 and quit because I was frustrated and couldn't figure anything out - I came back in '05 for a while and same thing... I wasn't getting anywhere - so I quit. It wasn't until just a few months ago I came back and I googled help for something and found TDN and was like aha! So THIS is how people are getting by... you almost HAVE to have a guide to get anywhere...

I finally got my lab map this weekend (YAAY!) and the first time I zapped my sweet little poogle she turned into a plain blue kacheek :crying:

At least I got the avatar... but I'm gonna miss her!

I'm like you - I got into battledoming a little late in the game - I haven't done very good with this step; que sera, sera I guess...

I'm sure other people can give you some much better advice, but here's what I had to learn the hard way:

Only increase level when you HAVE to.

Keep going for Endurance over anything else so you'll be able to stay in the battle longer.

Two Scarab Rings are the best weapons for the money - a Golden Compass is what you REALLY want but thanks to inflation they jumped to over 120k when the battle started...

A Leaf Shield is also a versatile investment along with a Scorchstone: (once per battle)

Bronze: 15hp/10k

Red: 20hp/55k

Blue: 30hp/80k

Abilities worth having are Burrow (Earth, which you've already got - yay!), Shadow Health, Drain Life, and Sink (All Dark.) It's a gamble when you buy bottled faeries, and you have to be at a certain level otherwise the faerie just flies away, I'm not sure but I think it's 10 and 30 - maybe someone else can verify that?

I played for the longest time trying to figure it out on my own before I discovered the tdn guide... I have a gazillion of the cheap prizes but I'm still hoping for the Lunar Astrolabe, Moondial, or Moon Orb!

I have a TON of packrat stuff left over that I'm having a hard time getting rid of it all. If you're interested NM me and I can post a few trades for you - not asking much, I really just want it gone! It was SO easy to collect and it's SOO hard to get rid of!

What have they been for previous plots?

The majority of my shop is geared towards Packrat-ers - 100+ items under 100NP!

I don't think it likes me either - I've played this thing every day religiously for the past 3 or 4 months and have NEVER won NC. I think I've won 100NP once and a few miscellaneous food items. Bummer!

What's weird is I thought I already had it, and when I went to tick it off my TDN Avatar list it was already checked... :eh:

I didn't like it at first either - but it's one of those things that you can't help but see on other pets every time you turn around. At first I thought "I'm just going to dress a couple in some cheaper items", but that turned into, "Oh no, everyone's gonna know I'm cheap - I better upgrade." Then one thing led to another and I lost sight of it all and now I kinda dig dressing them up!

I've spent a lot of NP (and I mean A LLOOTT of NP!) on goodie bags, mystery bags, and other items that give out items. Ironically it was one of the free bags I received that gave me Mystery Island Silhouette Background (which is worth about 95k)

It's like the lottery - you hope you win, you bank on winning, you sweat bullets thinking *this* time will pay out... but deep down you know "I'm NOT going to win." and that's the one that's usually right.

The elusiveness of "Lutari" as a whole and in general makes it almost undesirable to obtain I think. Draiks & Krawks & Royals can be worked towards; but Lutari? 99.9% of us don't even stand a chance.

Most of my time is games. I'm going for the Secret Lab Map but so far the trip has been one step forward and two steps back...

Funny how they grow on you. I have a plain blue peophin that I'll never paint or trade for the world.

So far I only read books I win to my pets, after I've checked their value in SW. My favorite pet gets dibs on any new book, then I go down the list. If they've all read it (or don't want to read it) then it gets sold.

What's the purpose of the fearless deeds?

About how many Plot Points are issued per "deed"?

What kind of stuff can you get with the points and what's their general "worth" at the end?
