  1. Sad story... What pisses me off the most is the fact that Chocolate is a Lab-only color, and im not sure if I'll get it again :(

My advice for everyone is to NEVER zap a pet you want to keep the species, gender, color... etc. The reason is pretty obvious: don't take any chances and be patient with BD training.

If I played this game for 11+ years, I would not mind waiting another 2-3 years to train my pet properly.

You can always change your pet back using morphing potions + brushes. Consider that an option if you really want it back on that particular pet.

And well, more than BD training, it was pure curiosity what made me do that... I've learnt my lesson though, so I'll keep her as a Lab rat until she becomes cool again hahaha Good thing I didn't zap my Magma usul! D:

  2. So I took a trip to the Lab, and after a couple minutes of overthinking, I decided to go ahead and zap Delfika, my Chocolate Kougra, to see if she gained some strength. I clicked the button, but instantly wanted to jump off a window when I saw my baby turned into... A yellow Chomby!! D:

I'm really pissed off right now, because I really loved how she looked, and I was wondering if some of you guys have been trough some bad zappings too... Let's share it!

  3. Once I was trying to restock on Kauvara's magic shop and saw a Woodland draik MP... I really couldn't believe it!! So I haggled for it and when I thought I'd get it... I got the "You can only carry 50 items at a time" message. I wanted to cry :'(

  4. When I came back to Neopets after some loooong vacations in the Evil Meepit's lair, I decided I wanted cooler Neopets, but mine had quite bad names, were basic colors and untrained and I didn't have the money for the lab ray map... But I just COULDN'T pound them!! I felt soo bad... It was like a part of my childhood going away (I created them when I was 8) so I transferred three of them to my side, and they've been there, rejected for quite some years now (Of course, I kept the usul that magically turned Magma xD)

You know what? Now that I have access to the lab I probably should bring sawa_8 back from oblivion, she must feel really alone...

  5. I've just finished "Footprints of the gods", by Graham Hancock for like, 4th time and it really gave me a new point about this whole 2012 thing. It's a really good, interesting book about the discovering of an ancient civilization, 12000 years ago, that, lead by ancient gods that visited them, discovered the "end of the world" pattern. Tough it's non-fiction, I just couldn't stop reading it, and the end just makes you think about it over and over.

Now I'm re-reading a classic, "Black beauty", by Anna Sewell. I'ts a horse's self-biography in the late 1800's, and one of the first books that talk about animal treating... written by a woman, of course ;)

Next on my list is a book of shorth stories written by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. They're all written in Magical Realism style, and that's what makes them really special. Personally I think he's one of the best contemporary writers, and his books and short stories are all masterpieces :)

  6. I agree with everyone in the point that, in the majority of cases, there has to be some degree of physical atracction for us to get atracted to someone the first time, and then getting to know his/her intellectual beaty and personality, but it's really annoying when most of the people we meet nowadays only think about the looks we've got, and they care less about personality, and I think that when a person's got the three "beauties", it can really be like a karma sometimes. So here's my personal case...

I consider myself (And not to brag or something like that, it's just my opinion...) a preety girl. Nice face, nice body, everything in it's place, proper height, you know all that stuff, so I kind-of-meet the beauty standards here in Chile... But, I'm also and A student (I'm only a junior :P ), I've won writing awards singer, folkloric dancer and I practice fencing at the national olymmpic comitee, and the thing is that... it's really sad to realize that people first talk to me at parties, when with friends or simply at school they only feel like it because they see a preety face and a big "rear end", and when I tell them "You know, I got a 98 on my phisics finals" they're completely stunned, and most people don't believe it at first, because the beauty stereothype is absolutely not related to intelligence in most of people's minds. I've been told, and I'm not joking, I HAVE been told "Really? an A+ on all your subjects? But you look so... erm... you're so hot!" (No need to say that my face at that point was something like this o_O hahahahahah)

And in the other hand, there are other boys and girls that just for the fact that i'm smart, think that i'm not a nice or fun person, and now I'm really good friends with people that I've met for years, but had never made the try to find out if I was a good person, but were only guided for the "nerd" Stereothype

  7. One thing I'm really afraid of, is actually fear!

I'm not afraid of heights, I enjoy them; I'm not afraid of snakes, I pet them; and I'm not afraid of death, I assume it. But The thing I can't stand is that feeling of insecurity when you're scared.

Same things happen to me when I go to sleep. Since I have a very 'active' imagination and dream the same dreams, I pray each night to dream my nice dreams and not the bloody ones when a shadow kills my friends (Yeah, that has happened several times, and always the same)

It's weird, I know, and only my mom understands me, but it's true. Awfully true... :sad01_anim:

  8. Well, I think that all that broccoli hating is just sugestion from some dork that decided to make anti-broccoli cartoons, and I thank my mom for being creative and prepare veggies the yummy way. *cough* Fried *cough* So I like almost all of them. Even aubergines!

But one vegetable that I've hated all my 14 years of existence is corn.

May sound weird, but I can't stand looking at my soup or rice and see those evil yellow capsules filled with evil sour yellowness.

    Yuck!

Artichokes are tasty! They are rather strange to eat, though. The artichoke, itself, is a flower bud. You are eating the "leaves" (bracts) that grow around the flower. To eat an artichoke, you boil it until the bracts are soft. Then you pull off a bract, dip it in butter, and eat the bottom of the leaf. The inner bracts can be eaten entirely. Artichoke hearts in oil are amazing on salad and pizza.

Yeah, I eat then with some mayo or a mixture of lemon and olive oil.

Just thinking of all these veggies makes me hungry. (And the fact that it's 1 o' clock here in Chile and I haven't had breakfast :P )

  9. I hope so too, we don't turn it off, because it take ages to start and be "usable", so we just keep it on and hibernating

    while it's not in use.

But it's funny, It has more lifes than a cat!!!

Every single time I mess it up, my mom comes and saves the day. (Yay!! :laughingsmiley: )

But I have to admit that I was REALLY scared. I tought that I wouldn't be able to get out of this one. (I guess that listening to Green Day while I was trying to fix it made me see the world more gloomly... :P )

  10. Hi, I really hope you guys can help me with my problem:

Today, I was playing Hannah and the caves of Kreludor, and the music of the game was REALLY bothering me, so I clicked on the icons that appear one the main screen of the game to turn off the volume. But since my computer is kinda messed up (Sometimes it works and others it freezes) the game wasn't working well so I reseted again and again (The game).

And every time I did it, I had to turn off the sound. Tired of this, I started looking at the keyboard of my laptop and found a key that had the volume icon with an X on it (F10), so I pressed the "Fn" key and then F10, and Voila! The music disappeared.

After playing a while, I started using "Ares" to download some music, and after, like, an hour I wanted to listen to it, but on the display bar that should show the name and length of the song, It said: "Media error: The audio sequence can't be reproduced: The audio hardware isn't available or doesn't answer" Then, I opened the volume controls, and they were silenced. I checked off the "Silence" box, but it wouldn't work. I tried and tried, but now, at the time of writing, I'm still soundless. :worried:

I'm terribly scared and nervous!!! I always mess up my mom's laptop, even if I don't do anything weird, and if she finds out, I'm sure I'm going to be grounded (again) :sad01_anim:

    Please help me!!!

PD: Sorry about grammar and computer terms errors, but tough I'm a good English speaker, everything in the computer is in spanish ^_^

    My computer info is:

    Packard bell easynote B3223

    Windows XP

Quite old... like, 4 or 5 years.

  11. Biggest mistake???

I created my account when I was 7 years old, and when tried to browse the boards I got the message that says that you can't see that page if you are under 13.

So I created an account with false age, and started reading the boards. Then, I saw a topic that said 'How to get free paint brushes'. I clicked on the link to get them, without thinking anything bad, and it sent me to a page that had smileys laughing at me and singing 'You are an idiot, ha ha ha ha ha' and a pop-up from the antivirus. It said 'Threat detected: Trojan *something*'. It scared me a lot! I started, like, sweating and shaking, then I ran to my mom crying and said 'I'm sorry, I didn't mean to, I didn't know!'. :sad02: She came to see the problem, but It couldn't be fixed.

Besides getting a lifetime-trauma, the computer didn't work anymore. That's sad

I also saw a Woodland Draik MP on Kauvara's shop yesterday, but I didn't get it, I kept starring at it, like it wasn't real <_<

  12. Yeah, I know, but it seems that 2011 is going to be a good year: After writing my last post, my mom told me that her friend Carmen is travelling to Argentina next week, so she's going to buy the medicine there and bring it here. :laughingsmiley:

I've also lost in every game that i've played, so it's a good sign... Here in Chile we say: Bad luck in games, good luck in love :P
