Yup, I'm stuck on the 6th clue too...I checked a couple of places where I thought it could be, but apparently it wasn't any of them =P

I was away all of yesterday on a rafting trip (I'm still completely sore), but 29 was pretty easy. And as much as I didn't want to map out 28, I did (because I remembered how useful it was in the Qasala plot), and got it. But 27? At the moment, I'm stumped. I can't seem to get 23 either. Maybe I'll try again later...

Be careful though, a couple of the smaller words are in the puzzle more than once. I accidentally found the wrong one first for at least two of them, and didn't realize it until I was trying to put the letters together and couldn't make sense of it with the extra letters. And also make sure you're using ALL the letters you have ;)

yea! todays one was pretty easy but i didn't get it as quickly as i should've haha. i was looking at it and was wondering to myself "what does this have to do with bakery" :laughingsmiley:

Yep, it didn't take me that long either. And that's a good point/question. I still don't get the bakery reference either... :eh: maybe everyone who solves it gets cake?

Can't figure out 23, though...I've been up watching the Olympics, but maybe I should just go sleep on it now :sleeping_02:

Yeah, I liked 22 too. I realized what to do as soon as I saw it, and it was challenging, but not ridiculously difficult *cough*Number 4*cough*.

Oh! I just got 6. I can't believe I was such an idiot! I was going about it entirely the wrong way. No wonder I'm not very good at Stroop tests :P...

Only 8 days left?!?! I really need to get working on 4 then! But...maybe...starting tomorrow?

Wow, I am impressed. I don't think I could've done it if I hadn't heard it before! :thumbsup: And I didn't actually need my graphing calculator, but I got it out, and that's why my first two guesses were wrong - I just let it do the work and forgot to think about the actual problem :P

Yessss!!! I got 11! And 19, too. Mainly because I knew what to do - although I worked it out, then put in the wrong answer twice before I realized why I was wrong :P. I love my graphing calculator...most of the time.

Only #4 and #6 left! You better watch out, Shadow, I'm catching up!

Lol, thanks Izzy. I went over them again just now (since I'm actually awake), and found that the real problem was one of the others I had misread :P

I think I'm gonna go work on 11 again. I WILL get it!

Okay...I thought I got them, but something seems odd about 9 down - it's only two digits. Unless I'm getting 15 across wrong? But I checked that one firsthand...

Well now, 17 didn't take long. I guess I'm used to this kind of thing now. But I still can't make heads or tails of 15...

If you have everything right, it should be pretty obvious. I can't really say anything more without giving it away for everyone else...

But I do understand how you feel. I still can't get #6 even though everyone said it was really easy (well, more like I'm afraid to try since I already used up two of my tries). So, I'm sorry, but you'll get it.

Still working on 15, though. And I stupidly used up two tries on Letters of Nova, so I'm afraid to use the third, although I think I have an idea of what to put.

I just had a bunch of flashes of brilliance (or something), and now all I have left are 4, 6, and 11. I had one wrong letter in puzzle 7 that had been throwing me off =P

I go on vacation for a week, leaving after being completely bamboozled by puzzle 4, to come back to this?? I must say, this is quite evil.

Fine then. At least answer this (if you can): When I rearrange the dominoes, is it all in one line, or two lines, or in three lines like the puzzle shows? Because that can make a huge difference.

Edit: Okay, I think I know. Now I have to finish the puzzle...

Edit: The first line was easy enough. It's the rest of the puzzle I can't seem to get....=P

*sigh* so I decided to take a break and try one of the others. I got 5, but only by halving my answer, and I still can't really figure out the pattern to get that answer...

Anyways, now all I have left are 4,6,7,10, and 11...I've got the letters in 7, but bleh for anagrams...

o_O ... I'm not a computer, you know. I'm human (and not some kind of genius savant). How do you expect me to solve this puzzle?

Great, this is gonna take some work...maybe I'll write a little application so I can play with the letters. Like Text Twist. Hmmm...if I have the motivation.

...well, I'm glad this is only the fourth puzzle - at least we have about a month to work on it!

For the record I do all kinds of puzzles and order those PennyPress puzzle books... I can do them all except those crossword puzzles that you have to figure out where the black square go... Those are HARD.

 

I am good at puzzles this one stumped me tho... come one someone gimme a hint!

I guess the most general suggestion I can give is, when you can't figure out what you need to do, look at what you have. Basically, to solve a puzzle, you're trying to think in the same way as the person who made it, right? Figure out why it is the way it is.

...I hope that's considered general enough to not be a "hint".

maybe I'll try again tomorrow (like tomorrow I will be spontaneously enlightened or something HA)

Lucky for you, spontaneously is the only way insight works ^_^

All the same, I think it's also easier for people who've had more experience with solving puzzles like these (with unexpected methods). I used to do this puzzle game called the Roomz that sometimes had similar puzzles. Maybe you could practice on those?

Some consolation for those who are struggling: when you find the answer, you will know it's the answer. :evo:

Wow, that was a toughie x_x . And at the same time, much simpler than I thought. Once I kind of figured out what I was looking for (thanks to the "hint"), it didn't take too long.

Just keep at it, and eventually, you'll get that flash of insight (which, unfortunately, doesn't care how long you've worked :P

Thanks for the link, my first idea ended up being correct, but I had been doing it slightly wrong.

I think it was that Hissi from the Jerry plot. He didn't do it then, but he got really annoyed that people were suspecting him, and decided that since he'd already been accused of kidnapping, he might as well do it.

Ah, yes, he's stuck in the computer like the Space Faerie! Maybe we have to find something of his around the site so he can be re-energized and fly out of the computer and finish the epilogue! :laughingsmiley:
