Two thoughts: 1. I don't even remember WHEN I made this but I have to say I've really come so far when it comes to art. It's from issue 395 so that must've been like... what? 9-10 years ago? 2. So since my return, I went through my avatar checklist to check the ones I still need to get. Two of them were Bilge Dice-related. But it appears to be "undergoing a quick fix or revision". How long has this been a problem? And has there been any updates from TNT on this?

I don't have any of their avatars yet so this would be my first one. I went with The Sway!

Yeah, that has happened to me before. It's normal. It's even more annoying when it just gets randomly taken away from you like the Sloth avatar haha. I vowed to never play the Count Von Roo dice game ever again after regaining the avatar.

Don't forget the nostalgia factor, too! Even if these former long-time players didn't stick around, there's always a part of them that comes back even for a brief period, especially after someone brings it up out of the blue. That's what happened to me twice now, first when Chrissy Teigen tweeted about it and then another film journalist I followed did the same thing. And all those memes about people saying they learned HTML and how stocks worked through Neopets? Those kinds of memes can trigger memories in people that people are happy to revisit and maybe even relive.

It always surprises me how long online communities are able to stay alive and active. A friend of mine brought up Gaia Online and when I went to check it out, there were still updates being posted! Browser-based games have a longer "shelf life" than mobile apps, funnily enough.

I'd say I'm coping well so far but definitely miss being in the physical company of other people. I'm a homebody so I'm happy to stay indoors anyway. And I'm lucky to be in a position where I can do all my work from home. But I miss being with other people the most. Chatting online just isn't the same. Our government's gonna make a decision soon on whether we can go down an alert level and relax some restrictions. If that's the case, we'll be able to expand our "household bubble" very slightly which would already make a huge difference for me, so fingers crossed!

Returning player AND TDN Forum member here. With my work-from-home situation, I had a lot of time in my hands. Randomly thought of coming back to the Neopian fold so let's see how long this return will actually last.
