Because I make chocolate professionally in real life, I love to collect chocolate on neopets.  I know.  I'm lame.   :) :) :)

I have an insane amount of chocolate in my shop and SDB, and I feel like sharing the holiday joy.

Leave a post in this thread and I'll give you a chocolate.  Will I give you chocolate to match your active pet?  Will you get something fun and minty?  Scrumptious and peanut-buttery?  Or something delicious and milk chocolaty?  I don't know, but we'll find out soon.   :D

ETA: I'll give away the chocolaty gifts on Dec 24, so get your comment in before then.

Bugs! - There are numerous bugs that have been reported to us. We are working on prioritising these bugs and fixing them in order of importance. The item bug first and foremost, followed by other blockers that affect gameplay. Of course, daily news spotlights also fall under this category.

As we continue to fix our site issues, we have not been able to focus as strongly on the following content as we have wanted:

Premium Players - As stated, we will be granting free time to make up for time lost. Please look out for this in the next couple of days.

For all players - We decided EVERYONE should get some free NC! We will be giving away some goodies in the next couple of days.

Habitarium - Please check back soon for a page with information.

Yay! Rico unlocked my account today.

If anyone is still locked out/"frozen", I suggest submitting a ticket via the NC Mall section rather than account help. It took less than 12 hours for them to get back to me that way.

Food club hasn't renewed for many a day now. Many weird things happening, on the money tree it had 5, two Dubloon coins and 1 five Dubloon coin all sent from the same individual. My scores are sending for each game one every two days. Splat a sloth is sending the score but not earning me any neopoints. BD is still basically a hobbling race horse, giving the results in a brutally crumbling matter. Whack a kass has been changed back to only needing 880 distance for 1k np. I also had 5 double point gains in my last 5 trainings through Codestone (not sure if glitchy or luck).
I'm just waiting for a day of continuous raining mortogs and that will complete the list.

I think I did manage to send a ticket a couple days ago about this but when I tried to check the progress over the weekend I noticed that I couldn't access the information or indeed anything related to reporting issues, so don't know whether that actually went through or got lost in the depth of the internet somewhere. ...there seem to be quite a few people venting their frustrations on the offical message board so I would think the issue is known to the team by now.

I would love scores galore..... IF IT WORKED!!!!!! Ugh. How frustrating. I haven't been able to post scores for over 2 days now, it says "you have already posted max, etc..." Well TNT, I HAVEN'T. And I think they should extend scores galore because of it since obviously there is no scoring and galoring over here.

EDIT: And there's no way to contact them? The help page and "contact us" page shows an expired page. Does anyone know where to submit bugs?

As far as I know, this is happening to everyone for most games. Many people have reported that Fashion Fever and Catch the Petpet seem to be unaffected, and I've personally been able to play Hot Dog Hero, Darigan Dodgeball, Clockwork Codebreaker, and Tunnel Tumble two days in a row. I really wish TNT would have fixed this before starting this fall's Scores Galore - knowing that I couldn't send game scores was tolerable before, but it's really bugging me that I'm missing out on all those extra plays.

I was given Inderal for my panic attacks when I was sixteen ( 30mgs ), after about 6 months my doctor at the time increased the dose to 60mgs ... I've had circulatory issues as of late ( I'm 29 ), ... but I don't think that is the Inderal, which has been more helpful at decreasing my symptoms than other medications more conventionally used for panic disorders/anxiety. It also helped my blood pressure ... lol... I seem to get benefit from other things than the what the medication was designed for like with klonopin it relieved my tinnitis 2mgs a day, any more I would sleep all day.

I've never had a headache that was bad at all, especially into the migraine classification. 10 mgs seems such a low dose ... maybe it's the migraine dose ... I've always listened to my body more than a doctor though...

It's difficult to find a doctor that "thinks outside the box" ... it's like an episode of "mystery diagnosis" lol... especially with doctors and staff looking at a patient with a "psych history" as I do... it's real easy to dismiss it as "anxiety".

    Hi ya'll!

Here is yet another one of my epically long posts! (You know you love em' though!)

I'm in a really good mood because my favorite season is among us. The Fall/Autumn season has always been my favorite. I love everything about it. The cooler weather, the changing and falling leaves, the hay bales, the pumpkins, the hot and cold apple cider, the hot cocoa, the bonfires, the fairs, the festivals, the sights and smells... everything.

And not just because Halloween is coming (also known as Samhain, the new year!), there are many reasons why I just love this time of year. October is my favorite month. It's the best month on tv (as you know, I am a horror movie junkie and a strange/scary/paranormal show aficionado.) It takes a lot to scare me, so I like the kinds of things that make others uncomfortable.

The food seems better. The decorations are fun. Hay rides and corn mazes are fun. Haunted houses are fun (except the one I got kicked out of for being too scary!) and so are all the folklore, urban legends, and documentaries.

My favorite things come out in the Fall season: I stock up on the scents of the season - cranberry, pumpkin, cinnamon, vanilla, gingerbread, pecan pie, mulled apple cider, fresh baked cookies, cinnamon buns, candied maple, apple cinnamon, mulberry, pumpkin pie, caramel apple... all of those are candle scents by the way! My favorite pumpkin snacky cakes come out (in apple and pumpkin this year!) and my favorite seasonal soda comes out. Let's not forget the apple festival my town is famous for and all of the fairs happening at the fairgrounds!

There's just so many things that make me happy. Which really is something because I'm pretty down most of the time. Where I live (in western South Carolina, near the Georgia state line) is no exception to the Fall fever. My small town is quiet... almost sleepy even, with not a lot of crime, and lots of natural beauty, and my county truly shines during this season.

I thought to gather some pictures* I found that was taken of the sites around my county (Oconee) to show you how truly beautiful it is here.

    * These pictures are not my own. I do not claim them, they are only shown for observational purposes only.

    Now, on with the pictures!

My county has three major lakes: Jocassee, Hartwell, and Keowee. All of which are gorgeous any time of the year.

This lake is known as Lake Jocassee.

This lake is the grand Lake Hartwell.

Here is a morning mist floating over Lake Keowee.

Here is one of the largest lakes in the area, Lake Keowee, in the day time!

Something else about where I live: my county has over 25 waterfalls! Half of them are near where I live! I've been to a few of them, and let me tell you, they are gorgeous up close! Here's a few for you to see:

Here's the beautiful Chauga River, where each year, our townsfolk go white water rafting!

The Chauga River goes into the Chauga Narrows, which is the picture below.

This waterfall, called Long Creek Falls has to be my favorite out of all the waterfalls here.

This waterfall, called Lower Whitewater Falls, gets a lot of attention, especially in the Fall/Autumn months. I think you can see why.

Not only do we have great lakes, waterfalls, and foliage, we have gorgeous mountains too! The Blue Ridge Mountains to be specific:

    Where there's mountains, there's foliage!

And where there are mountain foliage, there's usually a secluded mountain lake as well.

As if that weren't enough, we have many, many farmer's markets around town, with fresh fruits, vegetables, and grass fed meats for sale. There are many farms around obviously, but some of the best sells organic milk and handmade cheese! There's a farm (called Chattooga Belle Farm) that's around 12 miles (19.3 km) from my place that is almost too beautiful to be real! You can pick your own fruit there, and you can shuck corn, pet the farm animals, go on hayrides, play disc golf (whatever that is), visit the barn or the farm store, or even eat lunch at their bistro! You can visit the fields, and try the cider (and the six housemade wines if you're old enough!) There's a farm store, a lake you could go to, a cabin you could rent (if you could afford it), and something called the Lomax Circle, where you could sit your telescope on a clear night and possibly see Venus!

Here's a look at one of the fields at Chattooga Belle Farm.

Fresh picked, plump, sweet, and juicy farm berries? Yes please! And no dung like in Meridell!

After lunch at Chattooga Belle Farm's bistro, you can sit out side on the porch in the rocking chairs. Lunch AND a spectacular view... there's nothing quite like the beauty you could see here.

If you're really lucky, you'll get see a beautiful rainbow, where at the end, you will see the great barn!

Where I live seems to really come alive in the Fall/Autumn months, much like myself. There's so much beauty everywhere you look. And at most places, you could visit them for free!

So bring on September, October, and November! Bring on the changes and the longer nights. I'm more than ready!

*Just as a warning, Monday will have another long post from me! My Sydney Bear's second birthday is on Sept. 15, and I hope to share that with you all then!*

I hope you enjoyed these pictures I chose for you to see. Tell me what your favorite season is and why! Include pictures if you want to.

    Thanks for reading! :)

DESO reacted to nightfall8705 in Seven Lessons + Happy Birthday! (A Sydney Cassandra Thread)
As promised, my epic long Monday post.

What started out as an innocent, heartfelt prayer for more love, attention, affection, and devotion turned into a world of wonderfulness for me.

While my prayer was hinting towards a human relationship with a man I could be with everyday, I suppose the universe had other plans for me. My prayer was answered in the form of an irresistibly cute little fur-ball, who would later become the center of my world...

And so on a whim, I declared that I wanted a fuzzy from a good friend of mine, despite not being allowed to have them where I live. I was thinking more of my health benefits than anything else...

The very last kitten to find a home was grey and had wild twinkling eyes, and I loved her before I even met her. The day we met, it was instant love. Like we were meant to be, and she fell asleep on my chest, just purring like there was no tomorrow.

I remember the first time she called me "Mama" and the first time I got to take her home with me, and that first night of cuddling together contently. Nevermind a man, I found my kitty soulmate, and I never looked back.

And over the past two years, my Sydney Cassandra has taught me many things, but the following seven lessons really stand out:

    1. To not take anything for granted. - Food, shelter, and basic care can be taken away by circumstance just as easily as it was given. Appreciate what you have while you have it. Sydney and I both know that circumstances change. Even so, we don't take each other for granted, nor our living conditions, no matter how bad they may seem. People are worse off elsewhere.

    2. Unconditional love is the purest form of love. - It's a love that knows all things, but stays the same, no matter the turbulence. It's a strength that no judgment could shake. The bond is unspoken, yet the loudest of all words. The bond between human and animal is amazing. Sydney is my kitty soul mate, and the way that she and I communicate is wonderful, mostly because we do it with body language that shows words from the heart.

    3. Be content, and don't want more than you need. - Some people would complain about eating the same foods everyday, but Sydney and most other animals would happily consume the same food every day of their life, because they know where it comes from, and who brings it to them. That thought is more important.

    4. Wake up happy. - If you can't think of anything to make you happy as soon as you wake up, then think of this: you woke up today while millions of others didn't. Sydney wakes up purring loudly every single morning, and wakes me up as such, making me happy too. Each day is a new endeavor, so be happy you get the chance to acknowledge it.

    5. Be observant in your opportunities and pounce at the right time. - If you are patient and observant in your opportunities, you can learn what you need in order to take the bigger step of "leaping" into your dreams. You can do anything you put your mind to. Case in point, Sydney is observant and patient before pouncing on her favorite cat toys. When she waits at the right time, she always catches her toy, but if she's too hasty, she misses... but she still gets back up and she tries again.

    6. Appreciate people you love. Let them love you, and love them in return. Let them know that you love them. - Sydney gives me a kiss with her nose every single morning. It's her way of saying she loves me and appreciates me taking care of her. People sometimes don't show their love and appreciation enough, and this is a sweet little reminder to remember those you love daily from a very thoughtful cat.

    7. Humans need love, companionship, comfort, and affection in their lives to function appropriately, as do animals. People pray for such things like these all the time, yet they don't realize that the answer is right in front of them. This blessing not only affects the human, but also the animal for the better, potentially saving both lives. Sydney is an answered prayer of my own. I asked for more affection in my life, and I was gifted my beautiful girl. She means the world to me, and not only am I a better person because of her, she's taught me amazing things about myself, and also life.

    --------------------------------------------------

And so now, I leave you with a small chronicle of my Sydney's life on today, September 15, 2014, her second birthday:

Here is Sydney's twin brother whom I named Sora Sebastian. He and Sydney were identical at this size. Both were the runts of the litter, and I had to pay extra attention to her when she was young. Dear Sora died not long after this photo was taken by my friend.

This is exactly where the :3 face comes from. Sydney actually posed for this one!

Did I mention that Sydney had wild, twinkling eyes?

Even when those beautiful eyes are closed, she looks precious.

For Syd's first Christmas, I took her to PetSmart to meet Santa! She got lots of yummy treats, and cool toys, and her favorite wet kitty food under the tree!

A friend of mine gave me a homemade sack of goodies with a pretty red ribbon tied around it. The ribbon fit Sydney perfectly, so I let her wear it for a little while. She was my early Christmas present after all.

At four months old, my Sydney was already very intelligent and well behaved for her age.

She learned some english words, and she learned how to walk on a leash, and how to behave properly in public. This is one of my favorite photos of her. She was saying "Mama" when I snapped this photo!

Some days, she can be quite cheeky and stick out her tongue at me!

Other days, she can be a cute little thief and steal my teddy bears for a cuddle. This is her with one of my many Tatty Teddies.

As she gets older, I can't believe how amazing she is. How incredibly intelligent and charismatic she is. How her eyes are always full of wonder.

No matter how old she gets, she'll always be my baby girl.

Today, as she turns two years old, I reflect on the memories we've made together, and anticipate all of the memories we will make in the future.

Happy second birthday to my kitty sweetheart, Sydney Cassandra! Here's to many, many more years and wonderful memories together! <3

    Thanks for reading!

DESO reacted to nightfall8705 in what do you think about the leaked pics online ?
I'm all for not invading people's privacy, but unfortunately, the mass of humanity isn't like that. It's easy to say to not put up nude photos, but in reality, nothing at all is safe on the internet, nudes or not. It's already bad enough that nudity already equals sex, and the photos are embarrassing when they get leaked when nudes should be portrayed as natural, beautiful works of art in the first place. I feel sorry for those celebs, but quite frankly, everyday people's photos get leaked every day, the way I see it, if you see a nude of me on the internet (you won't, btw) well either you like it or you just move on.

People forget that what's online is on there forever, but at some point, some responsibility needs to happen. Even the stupid know the risk of consequences by putting nude or sexually degrading photos of themselves online. Personally, I've seen none of these celeb pics and have no desire to. Hopefully this will just die down soon, because clearly, there's a lot more important things to talk about.
