I've been wearing mostly pjs for the last year and a half. However, I'm going back to school in person in september and I realized I don't really have anything to wear.

So I ordered new clothes for the first time in forever! I'm so excited to receive them in the mail friday,

So many people gotta start dressing like a proper adult again xD So many people also gonna start realising how much jeans constrict your digestion and so on, after spending 18 months wearing what is basically your middle-aged elasticated-waist stuff that they are scornful of their older relatives wearing xD Only real difference being the lack of beige polyester.

This thread amuses me with how it lures the advertising accounts, lol. We're pretty good at not responding to 'em though. 😎

The mention of polyester reminded me of a prank my mom told us she did in high school (not until we all graduated so that we wouldn't attempt it?) on a substitute teacher who wore a lime green polyester suit to her Calculus class. While he stood outside the classroom chatting with students and any female teacher who walked by, she grabbed the chalkboard eraser and made the green plastic-faking-leather rolling chair completely WHITE with chalk, and sat down in her seat in the back corner of the classroom. Once everyone came in, the substitute wrote his name in big letters on the board, turned around to tell the class his expectations and said he knew that he would be treated to the same respect that they show to all their teachers, and then sat down on the rolling chair and proceeded to call out students names for attendance. Mom kept her cool & only a few students saw her chalk the seat but were her friends-so they stayed quiet until he finished the roll call and then stood up and went to the board to write the page numbers for their problems to do facing the board with his completely chalked butt showing to the whole class. Of course, everyone was laughing loud, so he was getting annoyed and was twisting his head saying, :"What are you all laughing about? What is SO funny?" bc he couldn't see his butt. When the class was just saying, "Your butt, man!", he finally pulled his suitcoat around and then looked at the chair that he sat in, then he got really mad and yelled, "WHO DID THIS?" and someone, not a friend of my mom, pointed at her in the back and said, "She did it!" At that point, seeing how mad this guy was and was seriously scared that this guy might hurt her (she had been knocked unconscious from a 5th grade teacher, so teachers in her day were still 'disciplining' kids) she jumped out the window (first floor-didn't get hurt) and took off to hide out behind the gym until the end of the school day. She got detention and she did her time, and while she didn't mean any real harm to the guy-she feels that her turn-around to be a better substitute that tries to make the school day better for the students she subbed for can help pay off the debt of her not so funny prank (she says it ended up not being funny, but thinking that she actually did something like that-that is funny to me).

It's horrible to keep up, sometimes I'm not sure if a post is made by a valid new member or an ad account. Most of the time I'll remove the url from a first post and if a second post is made with another link to some whoknowswhat site I'll just mark them as spammer. If I miss one, please let me know or sent a report so I can take a look at it when I'm online!

I just bought and received a new tent today! It's a five person tent in which I'll be able to stand up. All that space just for me LOL! I figured the weight doesn't matter since I'll always go to the  camp site by car so figured I could go luxurious and buy a nice one. If one of my friends ever wants to go camping with me, at least they don't need to bring a tent of their own.

When I was younger, a LOT younger we use to go camping a lot. No less than every other weekend. Mostly to meet up with friends and party. At that time we were pretty poor and couldn't afford the luxury of buying a tent. So, I came up with the idea of "renting" a tent. I would go to the store, buy the tent, we'd use it for the weekend and then I would return it on Monday. I of course went to different stores, different times of the day, different days of the week so that I didn't get made as a "tent renter". That was back in the early to mid 80's. I always got a nice tent and wanted to keep every one of them. During that time I became convinced that as soon as we could afford it I was going to buy one to keep. During the early 90's things were going well enough to make it happen and I went and bought a large tent. I can't remember if it was a 5 or 6 person but it was large and had dividers in the middle, places to hang lanterns. Lots of windows. Nice tents. So, since that time we have owned many tents. During the camping era new couples would join, older ones would stop coming. Every time I bought a new tent I was sure to give the old one (usually got a new one every season) to a young couple that was new to camping and they would stay in someone else's tent. . As I got older I felt guilty about the tents I had rented all those years ago but I hoped in some small way that by buying a new one every year and passing the not so old one on to a young couple that I was somehow paying off a wrong from all those years ago. We don't camp so much anymore. Our backs can't handle it even with the air mattresses so now we actually rent a camper to drive to the campsite. Really rent, legit. I'm happy to hear of your tent purchase. I hope it serves you well for many years. Happy camping!

Friday my dentist gave me two gift certificates for local businesses in town. I chose the flower shop and the artisan loft. The kids and I picked out an artificial orchid for their grandma for her birthday from the flower shop. At the artisan loft they got colorful mini bath bombs. They've never had bath bombs before, so it was a fun bath night for them!

I'll bet! At least with girls you probably don't need to bribe them to get them into the bath in the first place? xD You might have opened up a can of worms now they know about bath bombs though.

Recently we bought these crayola tablets that change the bath water different colors. You'd think they'd want to take a bath more often, nope lol. Plus usually after a bath they get ice cream or a popsicle.

It didn't just happen. I purchased solar panels for my parents. At first, I read a lot of information on the Internet, consulted with specialists. and I think I made the right choice. The main thing is that the solar panels are of excellent quality! Therefore, I share with you this joy.

The infrared grill is my top choice from my latest purchase for my kitchen because it uses infrared technology and special reflectors to help direct heat to the grill, making it easier to cook evenly. Here, it is important to note that the infrared heating element emits light, and some users find it too bright to see the food being cooked, especially in a dark room.
